Another great Gala at the East Lancs Railway. The Summer Diesel Gala, with 5 guest locos, 20066, 26007, 37425, 47830 and 70014, plus locc from the home fleet. Action from Bury Bolton Street station, taken on Friday 28th June 2024 #eastlancsrailway #dieselgala #buryboltonstreet

The main shot in this video is 37425, hauling 26007 and 20066 to Bury , for the upcoming diesel gala. A type 3, type 2 and type 1!!! Very rare to see a class 26 on the mainline now! Also seen is a damaged /worn point blade, a very long piece of rail being delivered, with difficulty,to the Network Rail site, D6851 'Flopsie' , freight and more . Crewe, 26th June 2024

A ride on the Welsh Highland Railway , ' The Cwellyn' from Caernorfon to Rhyd Ddu and back. Delayed, due to sheep on the line, that refused to stay on the line side and kept on running on the track in front of the train. No sheep were hurt. 28th May 2024

A delayed first day opening in 2024, for Heaton Park Tramway ( Greater Manchester)! Also my first visit here and well worth it. Two trams running, a look round the museum, a walk through the park, and lots of birds round the lake. 15th June 2024

Two, railtours, worked by 7 different locos. The Lakelander, Leeds to Carlisle, with steam, 34046 Braunton, diesels, D1935 and 57311 The Settle & Carlisle steam special, with steam, 34067 Tangmere, diesels, 57313 & 57315 and electric 86401. Taken at Warrington, Preston and Carlisle. 8th June 2024

Definitely the day for Bullied Pacifics!!! Apart from 8 of them ar Swanage Railway's Bullied Gala, TWO more took over the North on railtours. Seen within 4 minutes of each other, storming through a blustery Penrith. First, 34046 Braunton races through with plenty of steam, working The Lakelander. I barely had time to walk down the platform, before 34067 Tangmere followed with The Settle & Carli...

Half an hour at Warrington Bank Quay station to see 2 railtours. First to arrive was class 40, D213 Andania, with The Bucket & Spade ( charity ) charter, returning from Scarborough to Crewe. While waiting for the second one, 66652 passes through with the Knowsley to Wilton bin liner. A few minutes later, the second steam hauled railtour, by A4 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley, The Settle & Carlisle Fell...
