first flight of the cub, had a slight stall that was recovered from while flying really slow and touched a wingtip on the landing, no damage, flys great with my saito .91 in it...all flights after this were flawless, everyone complained about the ground handling but its really about as gentle as can be if you ask me, no bad habbits at all...

My girlfriend's daughter has the silver ice and red version. It was my favorite color for the Triumph 660 until I saw the limited edition colors -- now, I like those even more. The Trident is really a great bike, hardly anything to complain about!
Hey, PA guy. My 1989 honda Tranalps is showing it's age finally and I am looking for a new bike. Ex wife cleaned me out so I need something affordable. Looking at this bike rn. How was it riding w passenger. New gf loves bikes and I want to take her out
@@moviedemocom I have spent about two hours with my wife on the back and it was pretty good, obviously the passenger seat is on the smaller side, I’m 6’ and she’s 5’10” and we fit on it pretty well
I get my license last week (trained on cb650R) and get this edition trident 660 next week. I count the days :D . Greetings from Berlin, Germany.
@@user-aerodelax congratulations, enjoy your new bike!
Great looking bike. I've been eyeballing this model recently. Curious...how much more is the tribute edition over the standard?
It’s actually the lowest priced trident tied with the plain sapphire black model.
Very nice walkaround video!. Thinking of buying one. I currently have a Speed Twin 900, which I love, but I, too, miss having a sportbike. Old retired corporate pilot & flight instructor here. Best of luck with your flight training! Remember, always expect the unexpected. And never say, "If such-and-such happens"--e.g., the engine quits, the vis drops, the door pops open on takeoff, etc.--"I will do this. . ." Say instead "WHEN the engine quits, I will do this . . ." And if it doesn't quit or you don't hit that bird, you'll simply be pleasantly surprised. That small level of mental preparation can save you valuable time in an emergency. Works for bikes, too. Just passing along advice from the late Chas Harral, uber flight instructor. Thanks for the video. It helped me really see the bike. And those model characteristics you mentioned are something to keep in mind. Fly/ride safe! Subscribing.
came for the bike, subbed and liked for the bike, 100% waiting for the chickens
Been super busy the past couple weeks, gonna post some randomness, and chickens soon!
I would sure like it if you would like to make ride videos, as I find most of those out there to be with either non-stock exhaust, very aggressive riding og they are speaking all the time while riding. 😊
Honestly I don’t have the equipment to do that right now but your comment has me considering. I agree and found the same thing, it’s hard to find a stock exhaust ride video
Loved the video. The colors on the bike came out way better than how they featured it in the official videos. What other bikes did you had in consideration before going for this? I am torn between the trident and the ninja 650, yet to ride either of the bikes.
I was considering going to look at an MT07 or CB650. Also considered buying a slightly used bigger bike, either a street triple 765 or Ducati scrambler. I have almost 400 miles on it and it’s been flawless so far, still very happy with it.
Does all Trident 660 come with quickshifter and blipper from the factory?
No, it's an add-on option
The tribute edition includes it and the fly screen and belly pan for the base model price…hard to beat the value on the tribute if you enjoy the paint scheme!
Regarding the rear shock... I found that mine softened up just enough after about 1000 miles.
Good to know
Congrats, I just bought a brand new 2023 last night, freshly assembled, and had to get inspected today. I'm hoping I can ride it out of the dealer today, I'm very anxious. Apparently the owners had ordered a ton of the 2023 models, that didn't sell. So I got basically the same bike but for $2k cheaper. Looks like yours already had some upgrades added to it and looks really nice.
Awesome, enjoy your new bike!
your front tire is differnt with mine?
It’s the standard Michelin road 5 they come with. Maybe just the angle or view on video?
I am awaiting mine...this is like being 10 years old on December 15th, thanks for posting this video of yours
Nice 😊
Amazing machine, congrats. I will send you a pick of mine when I get it.
Awesome, I took my wife out for a ride yesterday for lunch, bike does well 2 up. Another exceeded expectation!
It's 2024 fella. The throttle lag is awful. Sold mine at 500 miles because of it.
Nothing a remap can't do...
Im thinking of getting this version. Looks nice 👌
getting my Trident Tribute Edition this week :D
I bought my Trident 2 years ago, already managed to ride 16000+ km. It is also my very first motorcycle after geting my license. I installed also all the guards and quickshifter before it came out of dealership. I disagree on not being a good new rider bike. Like I said it is my very first morocycle and I got used to it very fast. Maybe it is because I was also learning to ride on MT-07 and CB650R while getting my license and exam bike is also those two. I don't feel any laggy throttle, but that could be because I am new rider. Suspension also feels fine. After riding for one season I also installed heated grips for some colder days/ evenings/ nights.
bike becomes a monster with tune, i had it on zard...missing it
I was SUPER close to buying. Ended up going with a Street Triple 765 R Thanks for uploading!
How do you like the street triple r and why didn’t you buy the rs (not that you should)?
@@fatongilic3961 Brotherrrrrr it's been 5 weeks and they still haven't delivered it to me. Crazy. I got it $10K OTD with delivery out of state RS is nice but I couldn't find any deals on them
Thanks for the info. I’m picking up my Triple Tribute from Hermy’s tomorrow - maybe I’ll see you on the roads of Central PA.
Awesome, wait till you see it outside in the sun! So pretty!
Had my Trident for a year now. Got around 2500 miles so far. It's very easy to ride and has fun power. Recommend some bar end mirrors as the stock ones show mostly your arms. Love that new color scheme! I have the silver/red one myself
I definitely agree on the mirrors, they aren’t horrible or anything but my arms do block some of them off
Hermy’s is great. I got my Trident from them as well.
Does it start?
Didn’t think to start it in this video, I’ll throw a cold start short video up soon.
Hi from Australia! Thanks for making this video. Likewise, I could not find anything that showed off the bike in person. I've just purchased one - hoping for delivery mid June. Have spent the past 6 months on a KTM Duke 200, which was great to build confidence. Thanks again for the video and look forward to seeing more from you 👍
Awesome, thanks and enjoy your new bike! Definitely looks great in person.
That’s a beauty I’m Thinking of purchasing one of these
Thanks, would definitely suggest going to ride a trident, very happy with it so far!
Nice bike, go ahead doing videos with this peace of art!
Thanks, will do!
At last, I’ve been waiting for a video to come out on the triple tribute. Be great to hear it fire up on the next one.
Thanks, I’ll take that is to consideration and fire it up on the next video, it’s stock so lots of videos out there on the exhaust sound, I will say I was also pleasantly surprised there, it’s a bit louder than expected and sounds good.
It's absolutely gorgeous! Congrats and enjoy it! I m pleasantly surprised by your positive remarks, especially after all your experience with other bikes.!
Thanks! I’ll probably do a follow up of several after getting some more time on it.
Looping back to Cub # 2's 6 o'clock starts @ 3:38.
You're reeling him in from 4:48 to 5:13!
I'm convinced there's just about always thermals coming up off that ridge / creek bed that's beyond the dirt road to the east of the field. At 2:07 - 2:08 you're looking right toward it. I usually catch weird turbulence on landing approaches or when I make low passes over that area.
This is great! I knew somebody had to be shooting some on-board footage up at the field. I've watched all of your flying videos and it looks like they've turned out pretty good. Next time I see you and your dad up at the field I'll try to remember to check out your camera set up - I've got a Sig Astro Hog that I could probably turn into a pretty good camera platform. I usually fly my orange Mustang pylon racer or my Escapade 40 when I'm up there. Well, keep up the good work! - Brad
Looks like you have the perfect playground for the radian!! Nice flight! Bill.
finally!! a commercial that I wanted to sit through nice cub!!! beautiful sound too!!! nothing like a cub in a nice green run way! thanks for the upload!
nice flight man! im building the same bird right now. im putting a .46 fx in it and i have tundra tires on it, so hopefully that will minimize prop strikes.
What size prop and wheels are you running, in this vid it had a 14x4 prop and 5" wheels and in my other vid a 15x6 prop and 6" wheels and I haven't had any prop strike issues, and yeah it does fly very smoothly, especially now with the saito 130 twin...
prop strikes are common on this airframe but such a smooth flying plane
no, they are pipeline chambers for an RD400. they are formed halves, with tapered head pipes, better the the segmented DG's with straight head pipes
is that a DG exhaust?
they were on when I got it, I have since sold it an bought a 1975 yamaha RD350...the pipes where longer but I cut them down a bit...
