I've just bought pretty much the same car (05 1.4L sxi, 5 door) for £500 and the similarities are crazy! Sounds exactly the same when running. I also weirdly have the exact same after market radio, the same parcel shelf notch broken, and the same kind of wear on the gearstick and handbreak! Did you end up getting the timing chain replaced? How pricey was it? Seen it's a common problem so want it done as peace of mind

Nice job, you've done a lot to that car to keep it going.

Absolutely spot on using weight and taking expansion/contraction into account. Fuel is loaded into aircraft tanks in weight (pounds in the US, kilos everywhere else) for exactly that reason.

I did this on my 01 xc70 slightly imrpoved the real hard shifts when warm. Its funny how it changes perfect when cold. Im going to try cleaning solenoids next one of these weekends. Re:mess my best ever was leaving mondeo tdci oil filter housing loose so when I started it 5litres of new oil pumped out onto the driveway. Fortunately a concrete cleaner renoved almost all of it. Re: reading codes I bought a cable off aliexpress that came with vida disks hopefully it works and I can iden tify my abs warning reason.

£470 for a pair of Volvo Headlights isnt too bad when you price up a pair from Audi for my A6 at £824 .... each 😮😮😮 and those are the standard ones. The led ones are even more at over £1000 each. Nice difference though 👌 😊

Before turning this on I wasn’t convinced that I wanted to see another FOTU video. I was very WRONG! I’m only a few mins in and this is EXACTLY what I need today. Hearing the sounds of the show and just the camera wondering round picking up the conversations and the very cool cars. Thanks so much for putting this out now and not over the summer. You’re right - this really is the perfect tonic for the dreary weather and lack of car shows.

Spot on! I 2K’d mine nearly 5 years ago within weeks of buying it and (I think I said to you at Rustival 2) they look like they need redoing now. Granted I’ve done nearly 70k miles in that time in a lot of sh*tty conditions. I’ll text you and book in 😆

Removing headlights on the XC90 is a lot easier than the V70. The wheelie bin makes for a great workbench. Those headlights look a lot better and I'm sure the 2K clearcoat will last for quite a while...

Oh yes, back box delete 😂 when mine went the noise was biblical! It was well beyond any repair or patching up hence the new system in the end. I loved our XC60 but something about the P2 that I prefer. 4wd is great but they do command a lot for care. Love VEP too - much love for old Citroens.. Great video.

I fitted Nightbreakers too as I've used them for years but they both failed within 8 months. I used orange LEDs for the marker lights which look amazing

I seriously need to do this again to Bev. Trouble is some of the hazing has gone through the plastic rather than be just on the surface which is a real pain. I can have the bumper and lights off within 5 minutes now 😂 It's much easier to change any bulb this way rather than struggle in the engine bay trying to fit new bulbs especially on the facelift lights as the holders are much further forward than the pre-facelift versions. Just to make it more interesting I've got S60 lights which have black inner frames whereas the V70 items are grey lol. Brilliant video fella .

Thankfully I've been soo lucky. Done 3 of the fleet ( 1 doesn't need doing yet and other has glass lens) without removing headlamps as theyre flush with bodywork so thick polyethene sheeting, plenty blue masking tape and cut down couple 3" foam backing pads to 1" to get in the corners. Used a Quixx kit.
