Remember to clean ALL contacts that you can with Isopropyl alcohol and a Q tip/ Cotton ball as well as brush for any thick corrosion. Especially with low voltage any corrosion/ oxides can severely mess with voltage and resistance. I just cleaned out my old LED flashlight and it’s 3x as bright. At least get the bulb contacts and any exposed connectors . My bike dynamo had the same problem of flickering and dimming, but after cleaning just the bulb it’s way better.
