Génial et bonne recherche de la chaleur. A tu de petites chaufferettes pour la batterie. Sinon avec une isolation mince multicouche et lors de l’utilisation cela doit un petit peu chauffer. Certains que tu as prévu quelques choses, vue ton expérience. Bella vista.

It would be interesting if you could add by daily stats elevation gain and electricity consumption. I never tried to ride a bike in freezing temperatures, long descending must be such a pain :). Safe journey!

Cool stuff. Seems like similar bike that Kino Yves is using. Check him out, he's doing France to Cape Town and is probably already there. But he will cycle back to France. He has 2 batteries with him, where 1 is broken at the moment. The solar on top would solve a lot of issues for him I would think.

Found your channel from an Alex Hofvander - been following him for quite a while. You definitely don't want to have rolls of excess cable. Even with extension cords there can be an increase in resistance that can cause the failures like you experienced with the melting wires. If you still want to keep things connected but be able to un-hitch your trailer, maybe make a separate extension cord for your solar wiring set up and terminate the ends with connecters like XT90 anti-spark, or Anderson power poles. If you want to disconnect the trailer, just disconnect your wiring, put in your extension cable and you're good to go.

Super cool! I kinda wish companies would start making these sorts of bikes. Solar panels are getting super cheap nowadays and I could totally see people buying something like this. This is definitely one of the more interesting DIY solar bikes I've seen.

I like a good Winterreise : ) about the cold and the batteries. Do you pre-heat the batteries when charging in sub-zero temps? I take it, you're charging the two batteries seperately with one not getting temp from usage with the motor. Do you worry at all about potential cell damage in the cold (which is probably phantastic for the PV efficiency) Nice shoes btw
