I just got one of the strap-on quivers for my Sauk Trail DrydenXR. I've always been a Selway guy, 2 piece slide-on to be specific. The first thing I notice is how much the hood and grippers move. The straps have a lot of wiggle to the hood compared to how rock solid my Selway's are.

Hello Dennis what spine should I use for a Dryden XR going to be 42# @ 28" hope Mike will be done by June. I use 600 Easton Carbon legacy with 50 gr insert and 125 -150 points on my Highline 58" 42 @ 28 and my Kenu 40 @ 28. Using the Dryden XR for USA Archery field events 50 Meters . Do you think a 500 spine Black Eagle Deep Impact with 140 grs up front be enough. Thanks for Your Time. Let's Keep Mike Busy

Great ideas I'll be making one before this spring gobbler season , 68 years old the knees worn out the days of jumping off the ground to chase down flopping gobblers are gone.

I love these. I learned about it from Dean Torges in Traditional Bowhunter Magazine. I went as far as designing a lightweight one for backpacking. Another good anchor is a to drill a hole and then cut a keyhole slot at the side of that. You just tie a knot Iin the rope at the right spot.

I made a couple a few years ago, and they were not designed as well as yours! I put my hole too close to the tree and had to add a brace under the seat to brace it against the tree at a 45-degree angle to hold it flat so I could sit on it. I am going to redrill the holes now that I have seen your design. Thanks

I only hunt from the ground. My father in law made me one of these out of an old bench press seat. It was heavy and clunky, and would bang the crap out of you when you walked through the woods. This seems to be more user friendly and packable. Might make one.
