Kitchen table refinishing.
We just got done doing a kitchen remodeling. I ended up installing butcher block countertops with a natural wood finish. My wife felt that the kitchen table was to dark along with to stained up and damaged for the new look of the kitchen. So she had me sand down the table and apply a clear satin polyurethane.
Materials used
Minwax clear satin spar urethane.
Norton pro sand 5” sand disc.
80 grit and 100 grit
Diablo 5” sanding disc.
220 grit and 320 grit
Dewalt orbit sander.
4” roller and 4” foam roller applicators.
100% American made elbow grease.

    Had one built along similar lines but mine is pinned like a trailer hitch but with two receivers allowing me to slide it on/off as needed and wraps around the base when horizontal. All the fancy log lift systems are nice but the reality is I can set half a dozen rounds on my table allowing me to split and stack without much stress. Can’t justify the expense of a log lift any more. Any kind of table that allows one to stage the rounds is a bonus.

      That’s why I made it. Was way to much money to buy. I do a lot of welding and fab work. I thought it was easy to do. I’m sure you can do it. The hardest part was figuring out the angels. As you can tell I screwed that up a few times. Lol. But hay we learn from our mistakes. Good luck.

    Why don't you guy switch the back stop and wedge around modify it where it's a push thru and build a log lift and switch out the Valve into a auto return that also have one that control the log lift. I think you'll have on hell of a log splitter if you do these modifications.

    • @frankiejones4816
      @frankiejones4816 2 роки тому

      You guys are already have the skills to make these modifications. I don't. Talking to all that have the same type splitter. All these designs and most likely made in China.

    I have the same splitter: love the splitter, but the design causes the split log to nearly fall onto the fuel tank and/or hydraulic reservoir filler cap. Using your design, I built a similar setup. The table prevented the fuel tank issue, plus really saves my back. Many thanks for the vid!

    • @americanmaker8608
      @americanmaker8608 3 роки тому

      Thank you. But if you make one. Add a second pair of hole in the middle. And yes the table dose keep the logs from hitting those. I do plan on adding a smaller table to the other side. I keep dropping logs on my feet. Lol. Good luck.
