Last Trackday of 2024 | NJMP | Blue Group
Trying to keep up with Christian on our last trackday of the season. Unsure of what my PB is because I don’t have a lap timer, but if I could guess; 1:34/35 range maybe.

Intermediate Group Last session of the day, just messing around and having fun. My homie followed me on his R1 and caught some dope footage. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get any POV footage of this session because the Track Marshall told me “chin mounted” cameras aren’t allowed. 😔 #njmp #trackday #bauceracing #elbowdown #yamahar1 Personal Best: 1:37.21 Dragged elbow for the first time too 🥳

First time at NJMP. This trackday was hosted by Riders Club and it went really well. Huge shoutout to Coach Kev! He rode with me throughout the morning sessions in intro/novice to help me get acclimated with the track. Right after lunch we jumped into intermediate and this is how it went. Eazy’s Track Day at New York Safety Track Last session of Novice before the rain took over, tried to keep up with the coaches but as you can see traffic was heavy. I wanted to be respectful and safe when it came to passing, so I did what I could. Next time around I’ll ride in intermediate. #trackdays #yamahar1 #yzfr1 #nyst

My 2nd track day ever. First time at Summit Main as well as first time riding with N2 Track Days. I got a bit carried away during this session which resulted in me getting some verbal discipline by Coach Robert. Not a proud way to get a group bump but I deserved it. #n2trackdays #yamahar1 #bauceracing #yzfr1 #trackdays #summit #bauceracing

    Going for that pass at 9:02 could have been seriously expensive for both of you guys. Never pass on the brakes that late as the corner is closing. You're putting both of you and the rider ahead of you on a collision course at the apex. Really dangerous shit right there. You gotta think ahead of those situations. You wanna stay with your friend, so take a slightly wider line, turn in later, and square off the corner so you get on the gas earlier. That will give you a much safer line to pass him on the inside *after* the apex. You tried to do it on the brakes before the apex.

    Did that instructor at 8:58 ever tell you what happened there? I don't get what he's trying to say with his hand up like that. Didn't see anything happen around you. Edit: whoops saw the ending there. A little lashing builds character but really, he gave you a bunch of concrete things to work on. I seriously respect that you kept that bit in! Feedback is the best way to grow, and at the end of the day huge respect to the instructors for really putting the safety of all riders as the top priority. I'm new as well and got a talking to after one of my sessions. It makes you a better rider though. You are exactly like my riding buddy at home, he has an R1, super fast, not afraid to twist the wrist and gets in trouble after every session 😂 He's new, fast and just wants to push 100% of the time. I hope your learning journey is long, fulfilling and full of good feedback. You're ripping! Have fun out there.

    Use your front brake. You are not using enough throttle because you don't brake enough when going into a turn. You are missing apex because you can't control your entry speed with brakes. I am surprised N2 is the org to give you this bump, as they always pride themselves of only bumping riders that are "consistent" and "predictable".

    • @TuneOnthe1

  • @rollackja
    @rollackja 4 місяці тому

    You are quick, but it is very hard to read your lines. You are all over the place. You are also missing your apexes in almost every turn. It makes it hard for the riders behind you to understand your lines. You are faster than the novices, but you may have caused an accident in the intermediate or advanced group. Try to work on your braking too. You brake early then get on the gas before you are starting to tip the bike in. This is why you are running wide in turns. I rode with N2 prior to moving. I love their organization. They will let you ride as fast as you can, but you have to follow the rules. Be safe and good luck! Keep at it!

    I hope one of the coaches saw and mentioned this to you but please maintain your line once you apply your brakes when going into a corner. You have a tendency to pass someone on the throttle and cut in front on them on the brakes to open up the corner. This can be a very bad day for everyone involved. Good job on your second track day.

      I see exactly what you mean, thank you man. Appreciate it. 💪🏾

  • @TD-047
    @TD-047 4 місяці тому

    I wouldn't have bumped you that day. Maybe on the last session but you would have had a coach on you up till then. You don't know the lines. you don't know how to use the brake markers and most of all you need to follow the rules. Everyone out there is asking how did this rule breaker just get bumped! You need to have a coach put you on his wheel and show you the line and teach you to trust that front brake. Tossing you up to I group without you knowing those things is a problem. I group has the biggest spread of speed over any other group. You'll have riders doing a 1:32s and someone doing a 1:24s. That is a huge difference on corner entry and mid corner. You may even have someone not interested in A group doing 1:20. Just as you expected those riders to hold the line others aren't expecting a dive on the brakes into T1. I'm sorry for being a jerk about it but I have seen people die at or from injuries at trackdays. Standards are there for a reason.

      Back story: Prior to this video I’ve rode with 2 organizations (3 trackdays total). Both gave me the bump to intermediate on the first day at both tracks (Jennings & Summit). This track (NYST) is new to me as well as it being a private track day so I went on the side of caution and rode in the novice group to learn the track. I was even asked by the host if I would like to ride in intermediate but I declined because I wasn’t “feeling” it that day. All in all; I should’ve rode in intermediate lol

  • @quaresma1875
    @quaresma1875 4 місяці тому

    some tips, break more instead of just releasing the throttle, shift down earlier, makes the breaking faster, smoother allowing you to make the corner much better. try to have higher rpms on curves that way you dont use throttle middle of the lean. Biggest advice is really the breaking points imo, make them a lot later and more aggressive. Good luck in future laps!

    • @quaresma1875
      @quaresma1875 4 місяці тому

      i think i used "shift down earlier" wrong (enligsh not main language lol ). i meant that you have curves where you are 4/5k rpm. break more on top of the curve while downshifting so its smooth but aggressive allowing you to maintain a lot of power when coming out of the curve instead of needing to give throttle mid lean due to low rpm. Hope i made it clear this time! Have fun!

    I’m half a lap into your first flyer and I love what you’re doing but take my advice: stop the street sh1t throttle control…go in hotter and brake/off gas until you’re standing the bike up and adding throttle/reducing lean angle on the way out. The adding throttle while adding lean/maintenance throttle is going to put you on your ass and back into novice. Not a hater at all-you’re leaps and bounds beyond 90% of new track riders brother! 🎉🎉
