We do, but we don’t always know how to ask God to heal the “ruts” in our soul or any open doors to the enemy that need to be dealt with. The result is a Christian still stuck in bondage, going to heaven but never really walking in victory on this side of heaven. We don’t always recognize when guilt is being used to manipulate us and we often don’t know how to respond in the spirit. This is for those who are looking for help with this.

@atouchofflourish I've always said that it feels like I was born with this overwhelming guilt that didn't really belong to me. Now I'm 58 and I still have it. Yes, I understand what you mean. I’m sorry you’ve been battling that for so long! I’ll probably end up doing a longer video explaining how you can ask the Holy Spirit to reveal why, what, and where the guilt/fear/shame etc started. There’s a possibility you inherited some family curses or occultic practices that need to be addressed if you’ve always been tormented by it. I want to encourage you that you’re not alone in this;Jesus can and will set you free from guilt. A deeper study on this would Bondage Breaker by Neil Anderson.

Sin entered the world due to an act of rebellion against God, not because God created sin. Genesis 1-3 is a good place to find this along with Romans 5, James 1:13.

Hey there! If you suspect you’re dealing with a stronghold in your soul, I can give you a general guide on what to do but remember it’s not a formula. This is what I would do: Carve out some time to sit with the Holy Spirit, be ready to take notes, and expect to hear God. Pray to bind the enemy from interfering with the ministry of Jesus Christ. Fear can have a lie attached to it or be rooted in sin. The symptom doesn’t always match the sin, including the sin of unforgiveness. If you’re dealing with a lie, You need to identify the lie that was seeded in your soul and have the Holy Spirit speak to it to be set free. I say this because when we know the truth and try to apply logic and scripture and it doesn’t leave, it means that lie is in our soul. You know it’s not true but you can’t seem to connect your mind with your heart on it-that’s a key red flag to identify that lie in your soul. Only the revealed truth will set us free from a lie like that. It looks something like this: Jesus I give you permission to walk around in my soul and show me where the root of this lie is. I bind any demonic interface or demons from blocking the Ministry of Jesus in Jesus name, Amen. The lord will have a memory come up, like the one you shared and notice your emotions as you walk around in that memory. Rejection, despair, fear etc. ask Holy Spirit to reveal the truth. Do this until you have peace in the memory. If Jesus takes you to another memory, you do the same thing. If you don’t hear or see anything, forgiveness is blocking it and you need to forgive. The memory will most likely indicate who God wants you to forgive. Say it out loud, I forgive “persons name” for “insert actions” and for sinning against me in Jesus name. It can be hard to do this on your own, especially if you’ve never done this before. It may be a good idea to get together with an elder or a pastor. Sometimes we can do this alone and other times we need someone to sit with us, so we feel safe. I would also encourage you to write everything down. Once you receive the truth from the Holy Spirit, you will experience your breakthrough. If it were me, I may also get the book Bondage Breaker by Neil Anderson and They Shall Expel Demons by Derek Prince. I haven’t been able to make in-depth videos on this yet, my mentor Gloria Cotten has a series of videos on strongholds here on UA-cam. You can search her name and her stronghold videos will come up. @@roses993 Yes, this is true thanks for bringing this up. It’s true but not something to be afraid of if anyone reads this and ironically, is fearful of demonic oppression. The remedy for strongholds: Sin based: repentance and belief that you’re forgiven Lie based: revealed word by the Holy Spirit Demonic: cast out by the authority of Jesus There will be other videos where I will go in depth about strongholds, but for the purpose of this quick video, we all need help with learning how to stand firm against deception and attacks of the enemy. We do this by focusing on Jesus, applying the word, and asking the Holy Spirit to help us. There’s no point to cast out a demon if someone hasn’t given ground back to Jesus in their soul by reading and learning the word. If someone doesn’t know who they are in Christ, that demon will return with more demons. When we give ground back to Jesus, they are happy to leave and cannot return. So in general, we don’t cast out a demon until after any sin-based stronghold or lie-based stronghold is dismantled by Jesus. Of course, if the Holy Spirit says to go after the demon, then we go with what he says to do. I hope this makes sense. I wrote this out for anyone who doesn’t have experience with deliverance and believes it to be scary or like an exorcism-it’s really not at all. This is why it’s good to go to your pastor or elders for help if necessary.

Neil Anderson has his steps to freedom for free on Spotify too. Also, get with your pastor or elders at your church and let them know what’s going on and that you’re starting that book. Rest and trust that Jesus has redeemed you. Scripture says it’s who the sun sets free who is free indeed, it’s not possible to maintain your own freedom from sin. Yes, we need to do our part to resist sin, but when there is a stronghold of sin, only Jesus can set you free from it. It sounds like a mixture of things going on with possible open doors to the enemy. Start with this video, apply the word and blood of Jesus to your life. Tell the devil to shut up and get out in the name of Jesus. Before you read my prayer, give Jesus access to walk around in your soul. I bind any demon or demonic interference that would get in the way of the ministry of Jesus Christ in the name of Jesus. Lord, I pray that DPaul relinquishes control over to you. Holy Spirit reveal the truth to them of what is at the root of the fear and control. Holy Spirit reveal the lie, and any open doors in their soul. Place a hedge of protection around them, and I declare that they are cleansed by the blood of Jesus, completely set free-let your healing flow. You belong to God, you’re his and the enemy is losing his grip on you. Holy Spirit make their path straight to the church you’ve called them to. In Jesus name, Amen. I believe you’re going to be okay but get the book and study guide and get up with your pastor. If you don’t have a church home, I pray the Holy Spirit shows you where God has assigned you. In the meantime, find a prophetic, Bible based church.

Yes, this is true and I should probably be more specific in what I mean. The Holy Spirit was given to David and certain chosen people in the Old Testament. The difference in then and now is that unlike David, we receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit through Jesus. If we sin, we are not in danger of losing the Holy Spirit like David was. Thanks for pointing that out, I’ll be sure to clarify that going forward.

Thanks for asking, while there are many scriptures in the old & new testament regarding God’s will to heal us, I really believe reading the gospel of Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John will best help bring clarity. The explicit will of God to heal is seen in Luke 5:12-13. Jesus was willing to heal then, He is willing to heal now (Heb. 13:8; Mal. 3:6). He's willing that you be healed.
