After the events of surfs up 1 and 2 Cody and Lani have 2 children together a son named Bob named him after his father and a daughter named Lily. His son Bob wanted to become a lifeguard like his mother unlike his younger sister who wants to become a surfer like his father. When Lily was 13 she started using a board to try to surf on the waves but failed so many times. She wanted some help. Big z, Cody and chicken Joe came to help Lily to become a surfer. She got better when at 16 and started doing well on the medium and small waves, but struggled on the big ones. After Lily turned 20 she got better at the giant and big waves and participated in the surfing contest. She won the contest and got her first win trophy. Big z, chicken Joe, her father Cody, mother Lani, older brother Bob, and her boyfriend David smiled, gave her a hug, and started celebrating.

This scene just makes me want to escape to a beach paradise with all my loved one just living in island life. No cares or worries, no sickness, no covid. Just enjoying time with each other and the world around us.
Ill always remember 11 year old me , watching this movie Saturday morning with my mom and dad , ow those were some amazing memories, ow I miss those days. DONT GIVE UP YOU GOT A RESON TO LIVE
For a mockumentary animated film about surfing penguins, the whole narrative and theme of the story paired with the visuals and just the simple joy of experiencing something few people rarely ever get to... Jesus christ, it's just so fucking beautiful. I can't really think of any other way to describe it. There's no grand revolution or bittersweetness to this, but even as a jaded adult something about the way this movie ends, the cinematography and the brilliant choice in music almost brings a tear to my eye EVERY time I watch this.

This, along with Into and (now) Across the Spider-Verse, are Sony Pictures Animation’s top three greatest films.
That final shot of Maverick and Zee surfing their wave together is just so beautiful. It's such a satisfying way to end it
