What is Advanced Surface Ablation (ASA Surgery)?
ASA (moskowitz-eye.com/laser-eye-surgery) is a safer, non-cutting alternative to LASIK surgery for people who are sick of wearing glasses and contacts.
It's a laser vision correction procedure that involves loosening the outer layer of the cornea - the epithelium - to allow the laser to reshape the deeper corneal tissue layers. ASA treats the cornea in the gentlest way possible. That means *no cutting and no flap.* This is why ASA Surgery results in far fewer long-term complications than LASIK.
In addition to not using a blade, ASA also doesn’t require an alcohol solution. So, patients typically have a shorter recovery period and less post-op discomfort compared to PRK Surgery.
Bottom line, this is a much safer procedure with better long-term outcomes. The only downside is a slower recovery period compared to LASIK, but I think that’s a small price to pay to avoid the lifelong complications that can occur with LASIK and other cutting procedures.

WhistlinDiesel's LASIK Surgery (Eye Surgeon Reacts)
Переглядів 2,6 тис.2 місяці тому
Earlier this year, WhistlinDiesel published a video on UA-cam called “LASIK Surgery Ruined My Life.” As you might be able to tell, it was very different from his normal content. It had 1M views before being removed from UA-cam in March - although now it’s on Facebook with a different title (“My Lasik Eye Surgery Mistake - A Cautionary Tale.” So when a colleague asked me if I thought his take wa...

    Regardless if Cody's video is wrong or not, this video to me looks like an advertisement for your treatment, exploiting the fame of WhistlingDiesel

    PRK is the superior surgery. Longer and a fairly painful recovery, but much less can go wrong.

    Would have been cool if you reacted with your personal professional opinion to what he was saying went wrong more rather than just talk about how Lasik eye surgery isn’t your only option, this video is more or less just an advertisement for your services rather than a doctor actually breaking down the particularities as to what went wrong and why it went wrong. I’m being critical because i expected more. Thanks.

    ALL types of laser eye surgery are Russian Roulette anywhere because every eye operated on gets permanent corneal nerve damage which can cause horrific dry eye & even neuropathic pain which are incuable! I've had 2 lots of lasik in the UK & I wish I'd never heard of it but at least I haven't got any pain!

    Have a question???? I had lasik back in 2012. PRK in the left eye. And custom view in the right eye. My left eye has been giving me issues the past couple years. Seeing starburst at night and ghosting of sight. Like double vision. My right eye has some ghosting . But not as much as the left. I’m going in to see if I’m a candidate for enhancement surgery. Is this common?

    • @moskowitzeyecare
      @moskowitzeyecare Місяць тому

      It’s not uncommon. Technology was different back then and possibly you’re experiencing more higher-order aberrations, especially if you had a conventional and not a wavefront guided treatment in the left eye. Another possibility is a smaller treatment zone and if your pupils may be large, this could be more problematic at night. I hope this helps!

    Yes. I had lasik just over a year ago. It was a mistake! To many complications I WAS NOT aware could happen. I’m still using eye drops all the time ($$$) and I have neuralgia. I’m very skeptical of modern medicine now. Prefer natural healing.

      @ForeverChiIIin Місяць тому

      How were you diagnosed with neuralgia? What are your symptoms? I had lasik over 7 years ago and one of my eyes has been drier, and hurts to move around and it feels like it scrapes the lids.

      @@ForeverChiIIin I wasn’t officially diagnosed. I certainly feel like I have symptoms of it. I try to ignore it and go on with my day. Some days are better than others. Usually a high dose aspirin will help take the edge off. Anyway, I’m a member of the LASIK complications group on Facebook. Also, the dry eyes is insane even a year and a half later post surgery. I definitely regret doing this!

      @@AquaVivaFit I feel the same Man really and I’ve tried my best to forgive myself and not look into the past. It’s really tough. I just wanted to know what your symptoms Were that would make you suspect you had CN. At this point after this many years of feeling the same thing I honestly suspect it could be anything. It’s all very frustrating, and yes the dry eye is still an issue. Just need to stay strong and keep pressing forward for better days and praying for a cure or relief in the near future.
