Sounds like a skill issue to me. I think Bosca Ceoil can teach beginners on melody composition. The BC soundfont is also best suited for retro styled music. It's not for everyone, but it's a capable tool. I've made a couple of tracks with it, it's pretty good.

I think it’s a good starting point cuz it’s not that overwhelming even though it can really only make beep boop music I spent a total of like 2 hours on that with no experience whatsoever

You can do melody, chords, drums, bass, play around with song structure. How is that not valuable?

@@BlazertronGames i should have clarified that i'm not saying it's entirely useless and i was exaggerating a little, but it falls so incredibly short in comparison to pretty much every other DAW out there. beepbox is better than it and i kinda dont see any reason to not use beepbox intsead

​@@NikoAbyssI've used Beepbox in the past, nowhere near as much as I've used Bosca Ceoil mind you. But I find Beepbox kind of restrictive for its fewer track lines, fewer instruments, and heinously limited track length. It's like it says in its description, though; it's a tool for sketching compositions and sharing them around I see Bosca Ceoil get a bad rep for "sounding bad" in pretty much every gamejam game ever, but music is almost always an afterthought in those challenges made by people who are just trying to be done. Idk, just my two cents.
