Amazing how McLaughlin and Lagrene play off each other alternating intricate picking, comping, wailing, walking, and ENJOYING each other. I was enjoying the interplay so much when they returned to the Coltrane line, I was almost surprised. Excellent. Thank you for posting this.

I never got attached by McLaughlin s fast lines. In my ears they don't make any sense. No musical value for me. His slow and medium paced playing is nice though.

The look that Coryell gives McLaughlin at 1:16 is my favorite part. He's digging it so much. I missed when Coryell came to town with the original 11th house a few years ago, and I deeply regret it, moreso now, hearing that he has passed.
