Today we tackle one of the biggest problem with the skyline, the shifter. The stock r32 shifter leaves a lot to be desired for such a fun, light, and sporty coupe. The Cube Speed short shifter fixes this issue and makes every shift feel smooth, tight, and notchy. I’m super stoked with how this turned out and I am excited to keep the build going! A r34 gtt stock side mount intercooler is a great upgrade if you wanted a stock intercooler they are a lot bigger compared to the r32 and r33 intercooler or just get a front mount Intercooler but then there is a lot more turbo lag with the front mount intercoolers and you will loose lower end power to until you tune it

So rb25 upgrade turbo and itll pull until redline? My stock turbo hits from about 3-5500 and it falls flat on its face after that
@@ChrisGuthrie yessir it also pulls a bit harder than the stock turbo. Just make sure to swap over the wastegate from the stock turbo. Depending on your plan/goals with your car you might want to consider a further upgrade just so that if you want to turn the boost up in the future you have the ability to do so. RB turbos aren’t particularly good past 12-14psi

@@4hq_24 no, not sure exactly what had all been done when I recorded this but to get the flutter you either need to not run a bov or block it off

I was lucky enough to end up with my cousins old 1990 s13 (which was originally my uncles who unfortunately passed yesrs ago due to health problems) and my cousin bought it from my dad and swapped the tired KA with a RB20det. Now i have it! after i needed a new car and really loved that car so i had to buy it, plus im family so get a discount lol 🤣 great fun car and unique since nobody else i personally know has one with an RB. It is all stock even has the stock side mount intercooler. Anyways this comment has no point lol just wanted to express my love for a RB powered s13 😊

I’m in a few different Facebook groups for skylines/skyline parts and saw one pop up for sale! I’ve also seen a few up on eBay
The car is sick man keep it up! Maybe take some wire mesh paint it black and use those as speaker covers for now a lot cheaper

Mod list?
I spent I think $5k for 360whp. $1000 catback, $1200 Cobb 20g turbo, $500 ets TMIC, $1100 killer b header, $300 hard turbo inlet, $300 Koyo radiator, and $700 for injectors and fuel pump. Still maintains emissions.
That's what I spent 17 years ago. Bought a 5k$ turbonetics kit for a 350z! That single turbo, on the 3.5, made 380 wheel horse power on Only 7lbs of boost..😮
You couldve saved $1200 and made 10 more whp if you put it on E85 instead of getting a turbo. Youd be well over 400 whp now though if you decide to run E85.

Turbo sounds brah!! I plan on re routing it once I upgrade turbo and intercooler setup but for stockish power who cares!
@@J2KMedia For turbo noise it’s a great modification. Cold air intake would be better for less heat soak but then you run into the issue of driving the car in the rain.

I was told if you go catless… you’re asking for it with boost creep if you’re on stock turbo setup… did you upgrade the turbo? I want to go catless but it’s dangerous cause it’s my daily and live in Cali lol. But it sounds too good to not go catless
To be fair I did see around a psi or two of boost creep only when it was a perfect night with good ambient temps but I also went to the best tuner in my state for my tune… honestly I 100% recommend going catless it made the biggest difference to me but I would recommend upgrading your boost controller or even go ewg. I don’t own the car anymore but honestly it rarely gave me any issues being catless

Got this setup on my 17 STI with Greddy Supreme sp….. sounds really similar…. High aggressive tone like a bug with super loud pops with the burble tune…. Neighbors hate me, oh well. Can’t make EVERYONE happy😂

Yep, almost anything you do to a Subaru you need to account for in one way or another. Need to get a tune especially bc of boost creep and or over boosting
@@J2KMedia I appreciated your response bro! Getting a tune is the only way? Yep next week I’ll have my subie dyno/tune. Hopefully they’ll fix the problem. My 02 sensor adapter still didn’t work I still have my CEL on.
@@MacUMa94 yep unfortunately it’s just something that needs to be tuned out, but definitely one of the best parts/mods to do for value to performance!

Did you switch to Tomei to quiet things down a bit?
Sucks the engines are just so unreliable. Was between an STI and a Focus RS for me, 8/10 of the STI's or WRX's I looked at already had the motor replaced. There was one with like 40-50k miles on it iirc that had to have the engine swapped under warranty. Decided on a Focus RS after that.
Focus RS's also deal with engine failures (source, I own one)
Yeah. I had a subie. Now i got a volvo. Volvo for life. Its like a subaru but with a nicer interior and they are easier to work on imo. Extremely reliable, my daily s60r is at 234k miles and every winter i take it out snow drifting. During the summer i track it. And its still the orginal motor and drive train.

Lol thats on a special tune. My 11 wrx is way louder just cruising around with a rotated Gtx3076r, uel headers, 3.5" custom straight pipe.
Here in 2022 there is no board to get in its all covered in weeds and stone but I got in some how, lots of graffiti and shit inside it, such as fucking broken windows and other stuff. If you try to goto the 3rd floor jt will probably collapse and you will die. Also the basement is flooded. I had friends who worked there also and told me they could give me a tour😂, so they did and turns out there’s a part where it shows all of old computers and executive office where there is papers saying that Kmart has left and other creepy notes too. If your going in just be careful because you could get hurt
