Tab: i.imgur.com/qrP6C18.png Here's an arpeggio exercise I came up with to help you play in one position. It's based around the G, C, and D chords. Practice til you can play it clean. I got a new camera recently, so I will have more videos coming soon. Let me know if there's anything you would like me to cover. Like, comment, subscribe!

Ernest Ranglin - Way Back When (sax solo)
Переглядів 92512 років тому
This is a saxophone solo on a song called "Way Back When" by Ernest Ranglin off the album, Gotcha (2001). I've always loved listening to this solo, so I decided to transcribe it! I tried to nail a lot, but not all, of the articulations that the sax player did. Kind of interesting transferring that stuff to guitar. Ernest Ranglin is a really great guitar player that combines a nice mixture of re...

Bach Invention 13. This is my first attempt at a split screen. At about 38 seconds, the dog decides to shake his collar around. I will do another one, at some point. Just thought I'd share!!
Unsion Bends

Here's a quick little video on "unison bends". It's a cool sound where you play two notes, and bend the lower one up to reach the higher note. Try it out!
How to Use a Metronome! What? Yeah
Переглядів 26 тис.12 років тому
Seems like an easy thing to do, right? Turn on the metronome and go, right? Well there's a little more to it than just that. A lot of people own metronomes and don't use them "properly". Here's a video to help you practice with the metronome and achieve better rhythm. Any questions, let me know.

Spider Exercise for the Guitar (beginner)
cool
very nice!
Are you tuned a whole step down? I’m trying to learn it but the frets seem to by off by one
Eb standard, so down a half step.
That was seriously beautiful... gonna have to slow down this video to learn how it's done.
Would you share the tab ? It'd amazing. U did an amazing arrangement !!
Sorry, it's all in my head. Thank you for the kind words.
@@KevinGuitarLessons oh no it's a shame. Lucky you.... in my head there's someone but it's not me 😅😅 Btw all the best and happy new year!
how does this not have a million views?!
WOW that was so beautiful!
Absolutely fantastic dude! I'm going to learn it today!
Listening to this while studying is so soothing, Robin Hood was my favorite movie 💕!
fking hell dude that was pretty excellent
Tabs or it didn’t happen😉 Can’t believe I never clicked on this before, sounds great buddy!
Finally. A decent video about metronoming
This vid made me pick up my guitar again!
That's awesome!
Fantastic!
Hi, Kevin! I'd love to buy this arrangement from you! We'd love our wedding guitarist to play this as my fiancee walks down the aisle! If it's written in any form, please reach out! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much! Congrats on the wedding. Sorry, I do most of my arrangements by ear. This was not super difficult, your guitarist should be able to figure it out. Cheers!
Nice bro! I remember doing these with you when we were living with IZK. Jeez that feels like 3 lifetimes ago. Anyway, I hope your doing well, it was a joy to stumble across this video! Keep on rockin in the free world🤘
Beautiful arrangement.
Doooope
Absolutely beautiful.
So many memories, it too is one of my favorite childhood movies, thanks for beautiful cover man, brought a tear to my eye.
Nice man.
Merry Christmas, Kevin. See you soon.
Awesome... Very heartfull arrangement.
Quality
talk about fretboard visualization
needs distortion to decrease note clarity into a shroud of fuzzed out madness + double kick double time drum loop = metal.
No
Hey thanks for the video I don't quite understand the terms. Like quarter notes, triplets, whats that?
I love your video! would love it if you checked out mine!
Real solid job on figuring this out. Good work my man
nice! question, could you join me at taking on tunes collaborations in Bandhub?? I generally do play piano ;) You and I could get together at that site! This must be neat!
this fucking helps much simplerr than other videios
Not bad at all 8)
That is fucking awesome, man
you broke down all the parts perfectly !
this is a must for every guitar player to start..thanks!
wouldnt those be half note triplets because quarter not tripletes and normal triplets right? and you should do another video soon i really enjoyed this one
Thanks man, really appreciate that. As for the triplet thing, remember, it's fitting 3 notes where 2 normally go. So 3 quarter note triplets would fill 2 beats. 3 eighth note triplets will fill one beat. 3 sixteenth note triplets will fill half a beat. Would love to do another video, just don't really have many topics in mind that aren't already out there. If you have any ideas, let me know. Also, I lost my camera a while back, but will be getting another soon. Peace!
could you have whole note triplets? ha
Awesome!
Nice work!
this thing really helps?
You shred.
I can't fucking do this.
0:24 left channel strap goes down
How would you use one to practice sweep picking? Like one note every click or?
I liked that dog collar, actually - nice touch!
I have a question for you (or anyone who knows about guitars). I understand the basic principle of the metronome. However, what if you are playing mostly notes and do things that pause rhythm, like string bending, string wobbles, or just pauses in general? It throws off my timing a lot.
Nice phrasing!!!
Very nice!
watch?v=iOaOUaQXAvM :) That's funny, we uploaded this a while back...
Thank You Kevin, excellent and simple lesson. keep up the good work!
Aww thanks so much man! Yeah, I'm down a half step, my voice just didn't want to hit those high notes in standard. I even considered going down to D, but the guitar would have needed a whole setup. I have since acquired a wonderful Martin D-18, and I'm considering redoing some of my videos with it. The chords are pretty standard voicings, lemme know if you need help with anything. :)
