Blast Of Anger - Benefit comp tape for UK Resist 1988 (BOGUS TAPES - BOG 01)
This was a benefit comp tape, that was put together by Craig Dabble, in 1988, as a benefit for UK Resist (A London DIY what's on broadsheet to start with and then transformed into a punk fanzine). This comp was sold at gigs in London and via mail order, through fanzine adverts. It has just recently been resurrected and remastered by Ian Influx, who recorded as 'This Tribe' on this compilation.

Chris Liberator interview on Phoenix FM 8 Jan 2013

Firepit Collective - Ay Carmela

Taken from the debut studio album, released in December 2014. 'Ay Carmela' was a favourite song amongst the Spanish anarchists during the cival war and revolution of 1936. There has been many great recorded versions of this song, all mainly in Spanish. This version was translated into English by Jay Terrestrial, into a very moving piece of music! 'The bourgeoisie might blast and ruin its own wo...

Great 😂
❤
A postgraduate could complete their entire thesis studying this CD Some savvy talented boys here
Sweet!
Cockney
Now that takes me back a few years
I did backdrops for these guys a few times, cheers all!
Enjoyed this interview...and great vibes the acid techno scene
long live rave/freeparty culture!! PLUR!!!
Best bit of this for me was Leftfield giving permissions for their tune to be used...
I have started to investigate some of the work of The Apostles because since I started my You Tube channel (where I host most of the UNIT recordings made from 2016 onwards), Andy Martin has expressed such angry tirades against the group - mainly criticising his own performances and involvement - he once said to me 'those daft should have sacked me in 1983 and then carried on - the band would've been brilliant' - that I became curious. My main complaint about the group is the awful / horrible production - tinny bass guitar, biscuit tin drums etc but the actual playing is not nearly so bad as Andy made me believe. I have never heard this before but it is powerful and not nearly so dreadful as I expected it to be. I was at primary school when it was recorded!
great interview
Glorious. Thanks for posting
Siete sempre i più velenosi
oooooh what an interview! Chris's voice sounds so familiar, i wonder if he used his own voice samples in his tunes)) Cheers 2 all the acid techno headz worldwide!
Lochi - London Acid City .. pretty sure that voice belongs to Chris
@@skawashers in the "Free state" tune it's his voice too) I even think that "c'est dans ton putin de cerveau" is said by Chris 2))
Love the poison girls Crass flux conflict dirt alternative sub humans rudimentary peni still got all my vinyl with there covers and still play them today 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️ Punk for ever
You sound like you were a Centro Iberico regular.....were you?
Was at thus gig, bought the album a couple of weeks later, clear vinyl with a lyric sheet, still playing it 40 years later, one of the best live albums ever released.
Not you were not
@@plejady oh yes I was, walked home after gig, nightmare.
@@kevsyrob prove it)))
Don't forget Hex
@@plejady Hex was my fave Poison Girls album. Or maybe Chappaquiddick Bridge.
Love this. Absolutely prophetic.
YES REALLY FANTASTIC
thank you for the like,i missss mij old punk and wave people, some of them ,realey the most where fake, but i am alwys the same after all those years
wow....got blown away by this band
A blast from the past! lots of familiar faces on there, played a few nights for them too!
one of my all time favorite songs & band
They could be great on their day Kam!
@Dabble68 did you ever see them ?
@@kam.ry1312 Unfortunately not Kam. They were not playing live really by the time I was going to gigs.
I saw the Apostles do a performance in Tayport circa 1987. Half of the band played music whilst the other half painted. Did not go down well with the punks in the audience. Still, I suppose that was the whole point....
@@alanknotts1844 I would've loved to have seen that mate
I'm in there at 24:43 in credits..wowzers
-1 y. o. mates!
Smash hit!! Anyone got the lyrics?
Anarcho Punk from England.
I remember seeing them outside near in Aylesbury Friars. In fact you can see me and my mates in the picture on the back of this record jumping up and down. Great days and a great local band
Ah!
Come to Brittany! It s a good land
YES BETTER AS HOLLAND
I still have this in the colour cover.
me too
This one hits hard
What a rip roaring version of this song!
A great wee record.
It's a shame vi subversa isn't here to write songs about today's current state of affairs.
YES INDEED
I kinda guess what she'd make of our current woke snowflake generation. And it wouldn't be pretty...
@@jimbeckwith5949 I know she would chew them up and spit them out in the trash with a sharp lyrical wit.
I was at the boomtown rats, radiators from space, and the vipers and boy scoutz in mc gonagles, the magnet, tudor rooms, meeting pint and other punk hang outs in Dublin.
Thanks for uploading, very interesting! :)
Still relevant today...2019!
❤️
July 19th, was fuckin sweaty. I have the rest of the gig on old vhs, Filthkick and Pleasant valley children played too.
this will always be one of my favorite albums, i love the packaging too, but the sound is excellent...upfront, as a live album should be. very raw, cant overstate the importance either. cant get enough still
Ill second that - One of the most raw and pure sounding albums in existence
don't be so clever - HEX is the greatest
@@plejady Yes
Some great photo's...a few I've never seen before, when considering nearly every photo from back in the day has been rehashed a thousand times, it's nice to see a few fresh images...
Was at the gig and got the album.clear vinyl and lyric insert sheet.
Was the coach and horses on the pershore road. Bet it had a good atmosphere
No. Edward Rd, Balsall Heath.
Mary Street.
I had the pleasure of seeing poison girls in Cardiff students union in March 1981. I was 16 and chatted openly with Vi she was concerned about me and my friends about how we were getting home from the gig. Fab person and her lyrics mean just as much today if not more today. R.i.p Vi. X
I have met Dick from Subhumans many times. He still kind of remembers who I am.. I mean not my name.. but who I am. I really want to meet Rimbaud. I want to pick at his brain about Zen ideals. Awesome story by the by.
You have not seen them
Frances was a wonderful person in so many ways. I was in state of absolute disbelief when she left us. This world is a darker place now.
@JohnLoydon don't troll on Vi's legacy. Please. Anyone who likes poisongirls should be friends.
@@jimbeckwith5949 ok I seen poison girls on Portobello market - big gig 4000 people in 1984 during carnival
