do you still like your vacuum machine? Not sure If I get the Kaya or Vevor. the price is so different.

What’s your burn out cycle for the resin? Having 2 different outlets is also on my issues I am facing. I almost need a different line in my garage
@@Saywhatohno each resin is different so i would follow their recommended instructions. Its also important which investment you use as they can have different results its a bit of experimenting
Another 4-bit wonder. 'Only' 1 font, because as Larry Tesler himself said in 2017 it was about message not loudness. It took a while for me to clock the Covid mask, lol, so infatuated I am by the Xerox! Thanks Dr Guillotine! You've made my month! The AMD Am2900 microprocessor, as used in Apollo/Domain workstations. A true Risc Architecture. ⚛ 💞 💫
Why did the US government pull the plug on the Pixar Image Computer? 🖋
Wow, you bought all that before you made a single cast? It must be nice to be wealthy, I've been casting and making jewelery for a couple years now and I don't think I have any of those things. I use my hand to mix stuff, a centrifugal caster to cast, I just know what I'm about to keep airholes & bubbles out, and believe it or not a conventional cooking oven for burnouts. Admittedly I need a larger caster for bigger stuff I'm making but I still need so much for what I'm doing I can't imagine......oh yeah, I use mappro and torch to melt metal, it's definitely more fun .
Great video could you reply a list of the machines and tools needed
How long do u let it cure In the oven?
Back in the 1980s I worked with both the Xerox 8010, and the 6085 for about 6 years total. There was a next program loaded onto them called Versatec EXPERT (Drafting), part of their Engineering CAD software that also had PC board design. I cannot seem to find much information on, but for it time, was really powerful. Even to the point where you could load a picture into a drawing in order to trace it. I would have to reboot the computer to switch between Viewpoint and EXPERT CAD. It seems like I remember there was either GUI improvements, or we had all of the options for such things as similar to todays Copy, Paste, and also Drag and Drop functionality. Also, the 6085 went to one of the first optical mouse - Though needed a specific patterned 8" X 7" Aluminum grid pad. You have brought back SO many memories (and nightmares)..........LOL Interesting the keyboard you have the for the 8010 I've never seen before. Seems like a transition model from the original "clunky" 8010, and the modern "sleek" 6085 keyboard. PS - I hope you never get the dreaded system crash error code of 915, or 935. Sometimes a full system reload was needed.
The right part of the vacuum machine does what? There is a vacuum and it pulls out the wax? Does it have heat?
It's for melting/hot vacuum I think. The wax melts and burns out in the burnout oven.
so question I'm looking to get some of this equipment I was looking at a centrifugal arm that uses centrifugal force but I came across these two in one machines that has the vacuum and the other part on the right but I'm not sure what is. I assume its a vacuum that sucks the metal in through the investment? how does that work and if I'm not mistaken should you not have had the switch over to the casting chamber when you poured the metal in the flask?
OMG!!! The power supply connector on these Amiga 2000's are extremely difficult to remove. It sometimes feels like Im gonna pull out the wires or pull the connector off the board!!! That plastic tab that locks the connector seems to be the root of the problem. Probably the wrong tools to use but Ive tried using a flat blade screw driver, wide mouth pliers to pry or wiggle it off. Does anyone have a "trick" to removing them?
Where do u buy these things?
Don’t you need a mask for that investment, won’t it kill you?
Im still alive! I also work in a well ventilated space! But yes wear a mask 😷
Are you still casting?
🌷 'Promosm'
So, how has your casting machine held up any problems?
Is this a model HH-CM01?? How do you drain oil? Good vid thanks.
Would you mind listing the equipment and their cost? Thank you and all the best!
When does tick season end in nj???
A lot of talented folks dont pay attention to their health. S.A.D. kills more tech guys than most electrical shock.
You totally sealed the coffin on the bambu for me. That was the last concern I had. The first was cost, well shit I don’t own it then. Like right to repair and shit. Urgently running 2 anycubics, m3 max and mono x 6k. I wish I would’ve went fdm tho cuz I really want to build something functional for plumbing
Bambu is definitely a NO for me now man. That spooked me online, like if they could read what I print and be able to remotely disable. Closed source too. It seems like a sick ass machine man but fuck…..I want be able to print what i want and open source too so software gets better
Love the history. For real. I sorted by duration. I wanna hear everything about 3d printing. Interesting the start of it
Beautiful! I wish I had a vacuum machine…
YUOU ARE NOT NEARLY AS COOL AS YOU THINK YOU ARE. I'M OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Painful to watch
Glad to have a new fan
But cool
Your vacuum may be different than my Kaya, however it appears your knob is in the opposite direction than mine. The Kaya directions have a photo indicating the small pointed side is the “indicator” or the ‘tip of the handle that needs to point to whichever side is in use’. The larger side is the handle. In our video it appears your manufacture ha everted these. Loved your video. Although it is not aimed as an instructional video, it helped me to understand that how I’m doing things is pretty darn close to your process. Good job on your final piece. I’d love to see what programming you used.
yup, he got it in reverse.
Hello
I had no idea what i was watching. It doesn't make coffee, so I'm out of here 😂
hello @drguillotine what is the names of the machines you use in the video please?
VEVOR Vacuum Investing Casting Machine 1/2 HP, 3 CFM Lost Wax Cast Combination 2L with a 9" x 8" Bell Jar for Jewelry Casting and Investing a.co/d/fKZKwZI
Price went up but still more then half the price of kaya and free shipping which is nuts
Full Material and equipment list? For purchase, and quote. I
Considering that the title sells this video on the cheap setup, none of the equipment details and prices were given anywhere. This isn’t even much of a tutorial, just a demo of unspecified equipment.
Details where to buy have been posted in comments. Also this video is 2 years old prices are different now
So, how much did you pay for all that? 🤔
I think i paid 350$ for the lot
Not especially well done.
It was my first time and it was successful so to me “well done”
ua-cam.com/video/TKypji9o8Ok/v-deo.html
What is the name of all those products he is using
I made it to "wusupevreebohdee..." And then decided i didnt want to hear you talk anymore ever.
Clearly its my most watched video so I must have done something right! Nobody is forcing you to watch!
Качество литья очень плохое
Wear a mask when quenching investment steam is deadly!!
That is not safe they Carrie Lyme disease I had a friend he was bitten by a tick and it really messed him up bad!!
In answer to your question, yes, the Zorba is the best cp/m computer ever made. My question is, why doesn't someone reproduce the damn thing? I'm not talking a screw by screw reproduction; I'm talking about a working reproduction with working floppy drives and an unobtrusive SD card reader and all back issues of the ORACLES OF ZEUS. Why have floppy drives? Because once of the greatest thing about the Zorba is its ability to format disks to other cp/m computer formats. All it really needs is one quad-density drive that doesn't have the clacticallky-clack drive problem. Why reproduce an obsolete computer? Well, 1) because jerks like me would buy them; 2) they're a window to a single decade of computing history (the 80s), and 3) computers like them are so hard to come by that they're almost impossible to find. Those that are available are so expensive that even if one were available, it might stop working at any moment. Who wants to buy an antique computer that might stop working any moment? Finally, 4) they can be mass produced in China for almost nothing, and the biggest expense would probably be in shipping them to the U.S. Also, why do people still buy 6-shot revolvers when they can buy 20+ -round autos?
IHope much are these things worth today in excellent condition? I had a Telcom Zorba, then a Gemini amber screen 9-incher. And if they sold them today, I'd buy one. I just haven't found a good one that's still working.
I bought an untested one off ebay for $200. I needed the keyboard off of it. But tested and in excellent shape? $300-400
What's up Dr Guillotine! How's ther performance of that chinese casting machine?
Working great! But you wont be able to get for the same price as i did when video was made!
@@drguillotine7485 Let me test that :) How much did you pay then?
@@richardaubin1951 its been awhile but the casting machine was 600$ delivered
566$ plus tax free shipping
@@drguillotine7485 prices are in the ballpark, at least for delivery to the philippines where I am now :)
I would recommend to put a side the clear bowl on the investment vaccum side so you can gain more pressure on the casting side . Great work!!
Yup lesson learned the hard way
To confirm, do you mean taking the bell jar off the investment side when pouring metal into the flask on the casting side vacuum? Does this create more vacuum?
@@lukegaffney6511 Yep,
So what the hell is so "super cheap " about this setup?
Broski this video is over two years old. Good luck finding it for this price that I got it for. the Casting machine was delivered for $450 including delivery fee. Off of amazon
Guy...you need to take off the lid before you turn the casting side on as it pulls air from the other side of the machine. Probably why it was making a noise when you turned it on. Bet you had a hell of a time pulling the lid off
You are not wrong lesson learned
Dude, drink more water. You sound a bit backed up. Nice video.
U had lots of air bubbles
can you tell me the power rating of the vacuum pump?
Thank you man Keep up the good videos you know it might get fast&heavy on the market with you
