The Alaska Marine Safety Education Association (AMSEA) is 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation with a mission to reduce injury and death in the marine and freshwater environment. We do that through education and training provided by a network of qualified marine safety instructors.

AMSEA has offered marine safety training to commercial fishermen and other mariners since 1985. With a network of instructors based in port communities on the Alaska, Pacific, Gulf, and Atlantic coasts, we provide affordable, effective, hands-on marine safety training close to home. AMSEA instructructors have trained tens of thousands of commercial fishermen and other mariners in U.S. Coast Guard-accepted emergency drill conductor classes and other marine safety classes.
