I had a bouncing oil cap on my 1.8 20vt audi b6 quattro and a lot of oil consumption (only 130.000km's though).Changed the pcv valve with a new one and no more bouncing cap. Need to check my oil level from now on.

So i tried a number of different things on my 1.8t 20v. I first tried with the pcv off, but it didnt run right. Then i tried with it all connected but with not sucking in any clean air from the intake, but the eas too much vacuum, then tried with the air intake but without the puck, but then air came into the head. Then i added the puck again and that cr4ated the perfect vacuum. I dont thing its the valve itself because i bought a metal one from Temu and it works great.

Just did it. Not too painful at all. To be honest I think your kit is really helpful as it allows you to just crack on with the job rather than fanny around with heat shrink etc. Putting the boot lining in was a lot easier than getting it out 🤣 is there a trick to reseating the light unit? Fiddled for ages and it doesn't feel quite as flush as I think it should, despite checking the position of the connector etc. It seems weird to me that such a wide unit is only held in by a single bolt.

Just had ours done with the sensor and hpfp The car is nearly 4 years old with 32k on the clock It’s Stage 2 with 450bhp and I’m not pleased tbf its not even used hard as it’s a daily!

Brilliant. Couldn’t understand the cause of my dim rear near side lights nor the intermittent bulb failure warnings until I saw this. Bought your kit, and the extra earth mod just for good measure. Came quickly, all very neatly made, clear instructions. I’m no mechanic but was able to fit them easily enough. First light probably took me about an hour because I was being super careful while also reviewing your video. Also wasn’t sure how much force was needed when removing the light cluster and also the rubber grommet. The offside light took less than 10 minutes since I knew what I was doing by then. I found that threading the earth down through the offside was actually easier than the nearside, despite the battery being close by. Anyway, all cleaned up and very pleased. Thank you.

Thanks for another brilliant instalment Chris. Did oil and filters on mine over the summer and also noted that the bevel box cooling duct was weirdly upside down on the aluminium pan, now rotated. Need to do the fuel filter as I'm sure like yours it hasn't been touched for a while. Look forward to the rear lower arm vid, as I'm planning to do mine after the winter. Was considering rear subframe off, and changing all the rear arms while getting the subframe blasted and coated. Good time to check under the subframe as that part of the bodyshell is made from steel, and the paint protection isn't great. Just a thin layer of modern e-coat which cracks from stone chips etc and then rust sets in unfortunately. Not sure why Audi didn't put proper underseal in that area during manufacture being the weakest area for corrosion. At least from the fuel tank forward the underside is aluminium so won't cause longterm issues from corrosion :). Keep up the great work 👍

Odd cold start! My 2009 mk2 TTS go's to about 1200RPM and slowly down to 800RPM in about 60 seconds! I expected something of the sort on a RS!
