My first night using it i woke up to some pretty crazy wind. The inner was going crazy. Couldn't tell you what the wind was and I didn't film. I will be getting out in the hills this winter though. Watch this space! :)

Dan ive never had the chance to test it but i dont believe it to be fair there is a few scotish chanels i watch and they swear by them so i will take that mate as them guys get wetter than us 😂​@LakeDistrictOutdoors

Thanks for watching mate. Yeah, I love it. Hopefully, with time, the pitching will get easier. There's always going to be features that aren't for everyone though eh. The Keb is an absolute beast! I was torn between this and the keb. I went with slightly less weight vs the durability of yours. I am looking forward to testing mine in the snow. Have you had yours in much bad weather?

I completely understand your choice with the size and weight. I’m able to just barely secure the tent under the floating hood of my Keb 52 pack. It’s a real squeeze even with the poles strapped on the side. Love camping in thunderstorms and have seen some crazy winds a result. The outer tent makes a lot of noise like most tents but the inner is quite stable. Never have been afraid of collapse! Your color looks perfect in the Lake District. Feels like part of the land!

@robertblaine5012 sounds awesome! I'm yet to have it in anything crazy. Apparently, the flysheet does move a bit to allow for some give in high winds. If they were drum tight, the stitching would take all the strain, I guess. I do love the colour, I do a bit of winter camping, and I was tempted by the blue one to be out in the snowy mountains 🤔.

You're a lucky man being out there! That sounds awesome. I'll have to dig it out and have a measure. I think you cut it yourself, though, if memory serves? It seemed to be to be a good fit for my Woods Walker stove, but I can't really remember, mate. 😕

Checked the tent and you cut an X in it so you can have it as big or as small as you like. 😉

The way that it's angled inwards, means it doesn't. Or I haven't had water come in there. Of it was wind driven rain then maybe but you can zip the inner cover up which is waterproof 😊

@@LakeDistrictOutdoors It is funny how it works I don’t even think UA-cam knows 🤔 it’s definitely an expensive hobby, I’m slowly upgrading my filming gear, my first few videos I actually did on my iPhone before buying a DJI camera, probably get the DJI mic next but I’m not at the drone stage yet though. 😁 Thanks for the sub really appreciated mate, thank you. The Dji stuff is decent gear. The low light filming is far superior to go pro. I'm using the hero 12 black with a windslayer. I love the footage, and the sound is ok. A mic would be a bit of a game changer for me, I think. I have the mavic mini and there's a noticeable difference in the quality of the footage, obviously with it being older, it maxes out at 2.7k I think, or 2.4.

@@LakeDistrictOutdoors As I UA-cam beginner the DJI Action 4 has been amazingly easy to use everything is in auto accept noise reduction and sharpness coupled with a uurig selfie stick and a wind muff it's been fairly simple to film. I've just changed to CapCut for editing which seems pretty good and hopefully better editing. Will probably get the DJI mic 2 later in the year for better sound when at camp but the wind muff seems to do a good job for now. Until you've made a UA-cam video I don't think people know how much time and expense goes into making a 30-40 minute video. 🤔

I am thinking of buying this tent for backpacking through the mountains in West Virginia, USA. Would you reccomend this tent for such an endeavour?

​@alfredosoup its a fantastic tent, its just heavy. As with all hot tents. You could maybe leave the poles behind and use sticks on your trip?
