This is the Truly Victorian 1903 Shirtwaist pattern, made in a very light silk twill and antique lace. Here I am setting in the sleeve by hand to create a smooth line on the shoulder.

This is so meditative. Also satisfying to watch.
I agree. I've spent countless hours watching these machines stitch.
but it doesn't tell you whateach laye is or for
This #short in a nutshell: Layers, layers, layers, and floof, floof, floof.
💕❤️🥰

I'd like to take a moment to thank all my sisters in the early 1900's who were suffragettes + suffered + even died fighting men to liberate us + allow us the privilege of voting. They contributed in a huge way to my current clothing choices being so comfortable! This video is fascinating.
Love it💕
It just needs a bird 🐦
Why not make a video and not a slideshow, I have no idea how it happen
I found a few more cheap sun hats, and when they arrive I'll make a video!
I love the hat some people are just really talented in that area not may I wish I was but I have a few hats I do love to wear them and I never know when I'm going to where I'm at. Just all depends on my mood when I wake up at day and if I don't want to feel with my hair after I had Anna sunglasses up and I'm good to go well I got my ear rings I got to be complete of course my makeup sure but now you have to wear your mess up and I've got my hat my sunglasses and my mask and I am just totally blindsided by everything daddy ever thought about that you look good but you damn can't see hardly anything you look good it's funny but it's true. And you are you look all put together I have to laugh at it.
It would take half a decade for me to wear that....the dress is good though👍👍
Delightful! Can’t wait to see more! It’s going to be absolutely gorgeous!
No matter how slim you are you will always look heavy 😑
Absolutely beautiful! Great job!!!
It looks like a jellyfish
*sweating* *intensifies*
I got Yankee and no brim flashbacks
The resolution is killing me
Stupid video...tells nothing...shows nothing... why bother?
Stunning 😀
$2 hat makes a $2 video
I'm feeling suffocated just from watching it
that's a NO for me 😅
It would have been nice to see the finished hat sitting on a table or something so you could actually see the finished product. No matter. I’m not into Edwardian anyway. Too fussy!!
This was most annoying video.
I wish I’d found this earlier this fall when I was teaching my millinery class! Great video!
So I saw a slip, another slip, a bodice thing, a frilly shirt, two more slips, a skirt, and a top. No wonder people had people help them dress. My gawd!
This is a quiet slideshow only- I have a set of detailed progress posts for this gown on my website here: yosa.com/category/historic-clothing-projects/black-edwardian-gown/
Although I can appreciate the beauty and aesthetic of this design back then, if I had to take the time and effort to dress in such a way, I would be late, miss out on a lot in life, but look fabulous doing it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
👏👏👏😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I am see glad that I was born in the 2000’s cause I could never do that every morning
Possibly label things next time...
How many layers for this dress? Yes
The amount of layers I wear to school during winter because my school puts the heat on bare minimum
I have a written tutorial for this hat on my site, here: yosa.com/2019/05/31/making-an-edwardian-hat-from-a-2-sun-hat/
🤩
But what if it's hot ._.
You used a summer dress, whith ligh fabric
Know wonder so many women died in fires. Sad 😢
I mean, people still die in fires.
What a pain to become a noble back than 😂😂 i always wonder, how they gonna take a sh*t with a gawn like that( ̄▽ ̄;)
They pulled up a bed pan type thing towards their underside and went. Or just squatted.
How depressing to have to dress in all those layers.
It would be like how you dress up or how do you know others to dress up it’s just that way and it worked for them as much as what we use now works for us.
Poor girl, that dress is so not nice at all
@C T sorry I think we've got the wrong video, I was committing on the video just before yrs, it was about a mother making her child were a dress she didn't like, I think it went to yrs by mistake..
If this isn't the intended video, please delete your original comment 💜 Eileen.
@@Lyddiebits yes I would definitely delete but for some reason it won't let me, it won't delete, so so so so sorry really I am, can't believe all this over a dress or a hat
@@eileen2906 ohh that stinks. I'm sorry!!💜Technology isn't always fantastic.
Well thought but l could see only a bit! By these pics it wasn't to be seen well, sorry! Otherwise l'd love it. So no!
Suffragette super!!
Oh my goodness not in this lifetime
I hardly recognise anything. I basically have no idea what the final result looks like tbh. Would have liked to see it on an actual head, for final impression.
well sure! Here is the first wearing. Since then I've lost weight and taken a bunch of the padding out for a slimmer look, but the hat was super fun to wear. yosa.com/2019/06/02/wearing-the-suffragette-dress/
@@theyosaaddiss strange compelling and beautiful, in unexpected ways. Thanks!
Would be much better if it was a little bit longer of a video showing a bit more details.. Fantastic creativity 👏
