Cybertruck Basecamp install, setup, look inside, and packing up
A look at what it takes to install the Cybertruck Basecamp tent, how to deploy it, a look inside, and packing it back up.
The thumb screws I mention for the aeroflap were purchased from Amazon: a.co/d/c2Dk9kt

Welding with the Cybertruck
Переглядів 4383 місяці тому
I'm pretty new to welding, but thought this might be interesting to folks who wonder if you can weld from the 240v outlet on the Cybertruck. I really suck at stick welding as I've only tried it a couple of times and I think I had the amperage too high, so the weld was not pretty at all and you can hear me struggling to keep the arc going. I dialed the welder back to 156 amps and had much better...
Terrible format
What an assembly nightmare. Setting that up and putting it away every time you want to camp would get old fast. It doesn’t seem very durable
Nice video, thanks
Glad you liked it!
A box inside of a bag inside of a bag inside of a box instead of a bag instead of a box.....
Don't get wet!
Bro thank you so much for taking this bullet for us. Thanks to you now we know we don't need a 103k homeless tent-truck
Congrats you are terrible with money
So do you plug your truck into the nearest tree while you’re camping?🤣
God this has got to be the ugliest vehicle ever made.
Too much difficult
too damn much work!
100k just to pump like bk in the stone age..EV huh??? 😂😂😂😂
hAHAHHAHAHAHHA
🔥
진짜 불편해 보인다😢
I cant wait to get one! They love blocking that window! Like to see the spare tire kit installed with it.
And it’s only $3,000… what a bargain!
Fully electric truck and it requires a manual air pump??
im sure this tents cant be manufactured for any truck.. theres a market out there. its a good idea.
The future is a a biodegradable bag blowing in the wind
Ugly and cheap... actually it's False Advertising from the original
What original?!?! All there was previously was a render from over four years ago.
If it was bought on Temu for a 100 bucks, you'd say its not bad but probably not worth it 😂
Congratulations this might be the gayest video on UA-cam.
OK, I expected the cybertruck to have a built-in compressor to fill the basecamp with air
A whole lot of B.S. for $3000 and a person could buy a nice used pop-up trailer and have something really practical and could cook inside if it rains and much warmer and could sleep a whole family. This Telsa Thing is great for wealthy educated people with little or no common sense and have totally complicated an ancient Tent idea into a stressful, overpriced conglomeration. 👎👎👎
It takes too long time
Wow, that's easy as 1, 67, 99.
Now compare it to what kind of traditional tent you can get for 3k.
They had those on the Chevrolet Vega in the 70s! Nothing new
Hideous looking truck
Now imagine doing this after a long drive and it's getting dark
We just did that very thing this weekend and it took 10 minutes to set up. If that's too much time or effort for some folks, there will certainly be other options in the future.
Thanks for posting the video. Way too complicated for camping though. I’m gonna wait for the aftermarket slide in versions 😂
I wouldnt leave any of it in the sun between trips. 100% chinesium. Sad really, could have been great, especially at that price. Anyone turning up with this at a camp site deserves to be trolled.😢
Yeah…..I’m keeping my gazelle pop up ground tent much easier…Thanks for showing me this tent is a waste of money 😂
I would get my money back ASAP
It's a bit of a faff, but I suppose once one gets used to it, usage will improve with time. Also, as alluded to in the video, the parts of the tent will slacken off somewhat over time and will likely become easier to use. Whilst I am no fan of the Cybertruck, I do applaud the fact that they have created a seemingly well designed bespoke tent for the vehicle. The one thing that the Cybertruck does excel at is offering the owner something more than just a chunk of metal with wheels and an engine. That something is 'dreams'. Something that other manufacturers need to think more about.
Thank you for your comment. It’s nice to see one from someone whom the tent and vehicle aren’t desirable, but can appreciate why others might like it. And the dreams comment is spot on.
When you use the car for camping, will you also wipe it clean, everytime it get wet, dirt on, bird shit, insects, dust a.s.o.?
This looks like a royal PITA to open and close and I thought my soft shell rooftop tent was bad to operate.
Thanks, when I saw this, it looked kind of cool, but I was worried the execution would be bad. You confirmed that for me. I'll wait for the aftermarket, maybe even come up with something myself. I did buy those thumb screws because I want my cap easily removable in case I need the space. Thanks for the info.
The biggest design flaw for me is the fact that you can’t use the truck’s HVAC system. One of the best advantages of having an electric vehicle is the fact that you can let it “turned on” to cool or heat up your sleeping space without worrying about exhaust gases. So camping is a big thing for electric vehicles owners and this is a missed opportunity. Sad. I have the founders edition reservation on the way 😢
That’s so dumb looking. And I camp a lot.
Great video, i think its a terrible design for the price.
in the time it takes to set this up you could set up like 4 traditional tents lol. I have an Ikamper RTT and it opens and it set up in less than 30 seconds. This is so ridiculous lol
Pretty sweet idea well designed and you'd get it up and down in no time with practice but id bet it costs thousands
Who designed that thing?!! Hitler?! When other tent manufacturers are making their product easier to assemble as possible, the one who made that has done the opposite
wind noise boring, buy a microphone...
Peak Tesla - Paying 3k for something that costs 100 to make, looks terrible and doesn't work well.
Nice!!
It seems like the perfect tent for a cozy summer night in the national park called downtown San Francisco
Is this anti homeless immigrants?
