i have no idea how to this game even works.

I just nearly completed Apoc 3 on my 2nd attempt (not counting objective rerolls) after my 1st one gave me a Jinn that chose the reception hall to be its room so it instantly spotted me and killed me when I walked in (on me, tbh, I took note of the fact it rang the bell first but Jinn SUCKS for this anyway). I had 2 of my objectives completed, the third was escaping the ghost, and I had just gotten my ghost photo in the chapel and smudged the ghost for it. I knew it was a Moroi based on its speed, faster than normal but not as fast as a Raiju with speed and a Hantu would have been faster given the temperature. After all of that, I went back to the piano in the corner and crouched behind it to hide as was suggested, but the ghost walked into the chapel again after leaving and made a beeline straight for me and then I died. I stopped playing the game before they made the progression overhaul, but I had put in a decent amount of time and effort as a casual player before then (Lv 230 with about 70 hours was pretty casual to me), so at least in the deduction & mechanics department I'm not a slouch given the research I'd put into the game back then. I've recently come back to the game since we've now got a group that rotates people in and out to play it with instead of me only playing solo or with the same 2 people again and again, so I'm a bit out of the loop on what still works and doesn't work. Since the time you made this video, did they patch the piano to no longer function for hiding? I held no electronics and my microphone was muted, so there was nothing for the ghost to latch on to unless it got LOS on me through the piano.

I swear my RNG on this mode is horrible. The amount of times that I need one good draw to win and then the sweaty AI player at the table gets exactly what they need and Ron's me and I'm set back 12k damn points. An immensely frustrating mode and it's the only thing I need for completion of the entire game. Skill is a factor, sure, but when you can't draw what you need, there's nothing you can do about it but cry about it and start all over. I can't even beat the beginner's table. I've won rounds in it, but there's always one round where the AI wins and has 100 damn Han and washes whatever points I had.

My guy thank you so much for this guide. I got a DEMON (of all ghosts) and I waited half an hour to get its photo but it wouldn't fall into my 9 piles of salt trap i spent like 10 minutes setting up, and i had change positions to the other side of the chapel next to the cross cause i got impatient, i got the photo and objectives and it ALMOST KILLED me on the way out the door. I could only hear my actual heartbeat in that moment. Got this one it done in 10 attempts, very close to completionist now!

for me i only play amateur rn, and only know a few things like wraith doesn't step in salt, and jinn doesn't turn off the breaker and stuff like that, i don't know very much about the speed of ghosts or them throwing things but once i was playing tanglewood and i knew the ghost was in the kitchen i heard a door creak so i went to check the doors and as soon as i stepped in the laundry room i heard like a ton of items getting thrown or touched all at once and i immediately returned to the kitchen and saw everything on the counter and the shelves like plates forks cups etc were on the floor. i had heard about the polty explosion so i immediately knew it was a polty
