    The car is missing the black plastic cover (Acura 72179-SDA-A00) that attaches to the latch assembly and protects the two cables. That cover makes it nearly impossible to remove the actuator unit as he is showing in the video. This video is useless.

  • @niemand000
    @niemand000 4 місяці тому

    No way should anyone expect to remove those three screws @ 4:17 as easily as shown. Those screws are driven in there very tightly. An impact Phillips screwdriver size #3 is needed. And those are JIS screws, not regular Phillips. Using regular Phillips screwdriver will likely strip the head.

  • @niemand000
    @niemand000 4 місяці тому

    This video is way too quick. There is so much that is missing. You can't just pull out the actuator @ 5:00 because it is attached by a screw to the lock/latch assembly (Acura 72152-SEA-G01). @ 5:29 - 5:30, there's a missing screw that goes into that hole in that protrusion at the top of the actuator housing. That missing screw is what attaches the actuator to the lock/latch assembly. How did you remove that screw? Why aren't you showing it?

    Picked up the same tool on a black Friday sale. Used it to tighten my front brake calipers on my Honda motorcycle. Set it to 23 ft lbs. No click on the bar. Ended up breaking both bolts. Waited 7 days to get OEM bolts. Redid brake calipers. Set it to 15, 18, 20, 21, 23. Never heard a click on the torque bar. Rated 50-250. Assuming bar is not accurate below 50ft lbs rating. Set it to 22 lb ft and tighten bolts til it felt right. Rethinking this purchase and may invest in a better quality. Usually purchase husky because easy return policy and there is a Home Depot every where.

    The only reason you were able to separate the actuator from the lock assembly is because you never put the white cover back on when he did the job the first time. Next time leave it to the pros because you probably wound up causing people to break a bunch of shit that they didn’t need to. I was not one of them, but realize that you have to remove the whole assembly in order to do the actuator.

    Unless you take out the rubber drain in front of the filter and flush it then replace it out you will never stop the passenger floor getting wet ,water can only enter the car through the filter when the drain is blocked it then reaches a level which allows it to flow through the filter

    Thanks for this! I have the situation that I click the button and the lock unlocks and relocks all doors right away as well. Clicking a few times eventually gets the lock to stay open. However, given that each door has an actuator, how to you know which one is bad? Did you replace all of them or, in your case, did a single door lock stop working making it easy to figure out?

    Nice tool I got the same this summer for $125 using the HD hack after I returned the 5.0 battery lol. Never heard of CPO. Tried to check out there deals, but it seems they do not stock Milwaukee anymore. Great tool alot smaller in the hand than I thought almost the same size as my M12 stubby🤣 It's a powerful super compact midtorque for sure especially rocking it with a HO 3.0👍
