Simple Jeep JL 2DR pinch seam covers
I decided to build simple covers to clean up the look of the factory pinch seams on my 2 door Jeep JL after removing the Rubicon rails. I used 1-1/8" steel that was 1/8" thick. I used a 6ft strip of steel for each side. For hardware I used black zinc coated stainless steel fasteners and lock nuts.

2024 EJS Poison Spider Trail

Took the new 2024 two door Wrangler out to Moab for Easter Jeep Safari 2024. Had a great time wheeling Poison Spider trail in Moab, UT with Chuck and his Dad's 50 year old Jeep CJ5 B.P.O.S. It was awesome seeing the old and the new going down the trail tackling all the obstacles. Several @Jeeptalkshow team members and listeners made it out to Moab, UT this year for Easter Jeep Safari. Had a gre...

It's too bad the EPA doesn't mandate that vehicles be built to last and be supported. I question the longevity of technology dependency of new vehicles.
Look a Little harder. It’s there 😂
More things to break so only the stealership can fix for so much money 😂😂😂
Just put a dam dipstick manfacturers out there. That sensor will eventually fail. Very BMWish of you. I would also be curious to see how the oil looks between oil changes. The only way to know is when you drain it.
Bunch of people thinking their oil whisperers.
TAKE IT OUT AND GET THE HELLCAT IN THAT BEAST BEFORE YOUR 6 BLOWS UP
After 2 oil changes on this motor I will say I'm not a fan of not having a simple dipstick to check the oil level. The fact you have to drive it to get the oil up to operating temp then park it and let it sit for 5-10 mins to get a reading is extremely annoying.
Junk
Well, look at that - technology made it worse.
Chrysler could be great they choose not to be
Great video I want this radio but couldn't imagine where I could put it and not have it be in the way with cords dangling over everything. Right angle cat and face plate mounting high up solves all my issues with it.
Awesome 👍
Dipstick retrofit
It helps people not run their engines out of oil when it consumes it as 80-90% of customers will never check their oil level
Drove this twice. First time in a rear wheel drive Ford Courier long-bed pickup, second time in a real wheel drive Chevrolet dually. Piece of cake without 4x4.
Thats crazy.....and i know u didn't like that
Good video. Looks like a good event.
Great job Bill looks good! Going to have to start your segment… “Fabricating Friendzie with Billy”… see what I did there…
Naaaa Naaaa Deap stick yeap
huge difference powder coated
I would never buy this shiiitt
The only dipstick is the buyer that comes with the vehicle
Oh boy…
My Mercedes sprinter doesnt have one. They sell a dipstick that is easy to install. The gauge is only accurate after total warmup not cold. Be careful
Aka....VAG....😢
And you better pray and hope this engine no oil guzzler like 2.4 tigershark engine in those baby cherokee 😬🤦🏿🤷🏿🤣😂😂😭
Welp at least my 3.6 pentastar engine have a dip stick 🤷🏿🤣😂😂🤣
Because Stellantis is a French company, and run by arrogant Europeans, they copied the absolute craptacular BMW POS straight six. Fun fact the POS BMW straight six has the exact same setup.
My 2016 BMW 750i Xdrive still has the stick and the sensor but my 2023 BMW 760i Xdrive just got the sensor
All these stupid tech add ons that no one asked for is part of why vehicles are so expensive nowadays. Nobody wants extra sensors and dash that can read oil level. Likewise I don't need heated seats that come standard when I live in AZ... Make cars a little more basic past the car savings to consumers
Freaking sweet!
Germans have been doing that for 1000 years
Needs to be a v8 or ill walk.
So what happens if the sensor is wrong or goes bad?
On holiday from uk. I've got one on hire. The sensor is showing oil is low. I've been looking for a dipstick for 10 mins. To confirm if it's just the sensor. Now I've got to contact alamo before enjoying the rest of my holiday. Ps. After checking 'under the hood', as you say over here 😅. The coolant is so way way way below the min level, too.
Same BS that plagues a lot of European Cars. That sensor will go bad and give a false positive or negative. Stop over engineering and Keep It Simple Stupid….(That’s a Lease Only Engine)
Idiotic
Simple Answer time to pay up
One more thing to break. That’s so stupid.
I'm sure the sensor would never fail.
😂😂😂😂Ask Audi and BMW’s Customers
You fill it the same way
More electronic CRAP!
Then quit buying these new vehicles. Let them sit on the lot an rust away
Every time you turn around some new bs comes out. Self-checkouts, paperless billing, digital cash, and now no oil dipstick.
I am a huge fan of the Rotopax
Oh I've seen your review video :-D. I've added a link to your Rotopax review at the end of the video.
@@txredrubi hehehee
I don’t like that because I like to look at my dipstick even though my truck would say 33%. I have to look at it still because those sensors are not always accurate.
They prob did this to fit the turbos
I don’t like that either. My purchase, my right to check my vehicle…..
Garbage. Engineers should not be allowed to design an engine without a certified mechanic present.
I live in Colorado Springs, have done many trails in CO, I did this trail once about 22 yrs ago. It is very memorable. Great trail, seems so remote. One section uphill in dense forest, looked to left at small pond and a momma and baby moose were stadning in the water and a beaver swimming by, just very nice trail to do in the summer.
