Those copart scumbags ripped me off big time, I purchased a 2014 BMW 435D CAT N described as minor cosmetic damage, but after waiting for a while to get the damage repaired we discovered the 6 cylinder was running slightly off. After a bit of investigation I discovered a bent rod. When I went back to copart and complained about undisclosed damage they said it was my tough luck and said I should have checked the car better before bidding (even though we are not allowed to personally inspect vehicles) To repair the engine properly has cost £2500 in parts only.

Don't worry when the labour government hike the road tax in April lots of pensioners will be getting rid of their cars as they will be priced off the road so there will be plenty of cars on the market the down side your customer base will have shrunk quite a lot

I knowingly sold a car to WBAC at a reduced price. After they bought it, they shipped it hundreds of miles away. They then conducted further office admin checks and contacted us, saying their valuation had reduced by £2500. I told them to shove it and to return the car, but when it was returned it had considerable scratches, chip damage and additional mileage They wouldnt accept anh liability for this even though this damage was not listed on their condition report. Do not deal with WBAC, they are ripping people of their money. If you do sell, make sure you take your own photographs before leaving the car with them as it is known that they recontact people attempting to reduce the valuations. Trading standards are fully aware of their hidden working practices. It is also known that if you have done numerous online valuations with WBAC, they are unnecessarily retaining your information for years, I suggest you contact them and ask for your personal data to be deleted, destroyed etc.

Gotta think if the people who are putting these cars on to auction site, then they wouldn't be 'ready-to-go'. They would just sell them at retail on their lot. Many times i've had leaflets stuffed under my window wipers saying "we would but this car, call this number..." and i've often thought i might give them a call. That could be worth a walk around to see what happens. 100 quid of fliers and potentially a half dozen bites. Plus a bit of exercise.

You’ve got me thinking now. I normally go the complete opposite to you two. I’ll look for low mileage in newer vehicles but end up paying a premium. I guess when you shelled out 3 1/2 thousand pounds for something with that mileage you’ve got very little to lose. And you’ve got all the history as well and the 2.2 diesel engine well that’s gonna look after itself, isn’t it?
