How you know it is the safety valve which is giving the problem and not the internal seals of exhaust valve???
@@fitboy867 very good question my friend. Actually, when we have the trouble like this, your mentioned issue is one of the cause. But in troubleshooting, we always analysis and which is easy will be checked first
why not just use garbage plastic bag to cover bell mouth and open up the emg B v/v.. you can see it sucking up

👋Chief Tell me please, Chief SCR system releasing cleaned exhaust gas through the exhaust gas boiler to atmosphere and what about EGR system, because it's like recirculation gas system, so all the gases utilize again in the Engine, nothing going to EGB, so no have EGB if EGR system is installed 😮?

Chief, According to my humble opinion, the best way to make some action towards M/E or Auxiliary Engine is to identify which one alarm was first- that's it. First alarm was ECU B no communication- and that's the place where we should digging, other alarms and actions making only confusion.

I know what you will say " Actual feed rate- this is formula" Okey, but Feed rate adjust factor- this is also formula which is actual feed rate divided by nominal ( basic ) feed rate or minimum feed rate ( which ever is higher ), sooo...
As far as I remember from my previous ship, If Chief or Second wanted to change feed rate they were doing it directly through the tab " Actual feed rate "
may be you did not remember it exactly since we could not interface / or directly input the data in actual feedrate tab.
At the end of the video you said if you want to adjust feed rate for individual cylinder you change feed rate adjust factor, but if you want to change feed rate for all cylinders you need to change feed rate factor. But firstly, why should I change 🤔 feed rate ( except running in situation) if system doing automatically all calculations after you inserted new parameters of fuel ( density, sulfur...) , and secondly if I want to adjust anyway my feed rate why can't I do it changing directly actual feed rate?
Firstly, you need to change feedrate if you have tecnical issues with an invidual unit, not all unit will be working in same condition. for example, if you found scrape down oil analysis has change in TBN, Fe content, you have to adjust the feedrate of lubrication oil, insuch the case, you dont need to adjust all cylinders but need to adjust only affected unit. so, you adjust only "feedrate adjust factor" for that cylinder. incase your engine is runing with all units is same technical condition, but time to time ( when runing hour increasing, company advice you to change the ACC factor as maker advice, for example now you are setting at 0.32, but in next 2years, may be they will set it at 0.30 or 0.28...) in that case, you will not change the feedrate adjust factor but only the Feed Rate Factor ( at the Left-down corner ), it will affect to all units Secondly, you can not input any data to "actual feedrate" because it is programmed

Regarding feed rate factor 🤔, yeah I heard, that as more running hours as less will be feed rate factor according to formula : Running hours index multiply 100 and divided by oil TBN. I guess you mean, that during maneuvering do not use tab Running in, only after full ahead possible to adjust, correct?
Neither manuvering or after full ahead, If your engine is not under running -in time ( break in running for new engine with new piston and piston rings, or after major overhauling of one of the units with piston rings replacement) do not use running -in mode.
What you mean, when saing do not touch tab " Running in" during engine in normal condition, otherwise it will override feed rate adjust factor etc.... So after you carried out O/H for someone cylinder cylinder and want to do Running in procedure according to program which company sent to you, how correctly to use tab " Running in", at which time? During normal engine run condition can not, so when I can, this I don't understand 😕 ?
You can use "running in" after overhauling of individual unit. Setting required value as calculated program or by your SI' advices. When finish running in time, turn off this running bar, otherwise actual feedrate will not be automatically changed when you use new oil with new sulfur content.

@@ame9278 that should do with MC engine, with ME engine it is not mentioned. However, I recommend to do that good practice to prevent the accidently excessive opening of the exh valve

This type of job requires specify torque on the nuts .
Without the proper torque (usually hidraulic ) can appear leakages
@@mardujk yes, you are right . However, you can maintain the distance between 2 main plates and evenly tightening all stud bolts. Make sure that no dirty or bending gaskets to be used while assembling.
