Getting better guns or more ammo? Get crafting materials? Upgrade your ship? Still quite overwhelmed with the amount of stuff that I can do...

This is legitimately the only turn based game that i actualy like and would like to continue playing

Its costs me more in ammo, medical and food than I get from missions, its a game of losing resources and starting a new game...I dont get it...

The "red skulls" difficulty measure is completelt arbitrary, I die on 2* and sweep through 4* like it nothing.

Door interaction is a free action in sneak mode. You don't end your turn if you don't move or shoot. So I find it more useful to always open doors in sneak mode, then switch to walk.

Not being blammo'd from off the screen every damn mission is the main difference between X1 and X2 in my view. X2 your guys die because you messed up, in X1 they die because you clicked on them to select them

Some of this advice is pretty bad tbh. Sneak walking everywhere wastes time and ticks down hunger while giving time for the Q meter to build. It'd be better if you said to sneak before entering a room or rounding a corner. Also, consuming flesh, including furnicals is generally a bad idea unless you're on Mars. Raising the Q meter is usually not worth whatever small benefit you get. Finally, defense missions are actually an excellent source of loot early on. Better advice would be to go in with your best armor, find a good defensive position, and beat the mission to loot the dozens of bodies. You start the game with a couple of auto turrets, that makes defense missions easier.
