Life with Sunshine
Doesn't everyone's life need a little bit of sunshine?
One thing about me when I learn something and it's really great, I want everyone else to know about it.
Random videos of things I learn, life advice, random musings, the area I live and when I take things apart and have to figure out how to put them back together.

Chefman Microwave Clock Setting
I'm sure I'm pretty much the only one, but saving this case if anybody else needs it. I could not for the life of me figure out how to set the clock on this microwave and I couldn't find the manual.

So, I have since learned about the product called Dishwasher Magic - you can get it at pretty much any big box store or Amazon. This sanitizes and gets rid of grease and junk. Try this product before you take apart your dishwasher. www.amazon.com/Dishwasher-Magic-Disinfectant-Cleaner-Lime/dp/B00QU18IT8/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=dishwasher magic machine cleaner&qid=1679692137&sr=8-3 I took the ent...

Thanks for this video!
You are welcome, glad it was helpful!
I will never buy another samsung appliance again. The gorgeous refridgerator ice cube maker never worked. The microwave latch broke off inside the door so the door wouldn't close, and the dishwasher after two years is throwing trash all over my dishes. I'm a clean and gentle person. Samsung sux.
They should've stuck with just making electronics. They have the worst appliances!
Thank you!!! Me salvaste la vida jaja 😂
Haha glad I could be of help! I am surprised that this cooler is out there in existence still. Have a great day! ☀️🤩
🎉 bravo, bravo🎉
I watched your video and was able to put things back into place after cleaning the unit but now it is leaking. The gasket is in perfect condition so i dont know why it is leaking out of the top around where the water tank goes. Can you help me?
Hi Ruth, the last part of the video starting at 2:20 check to make sure that the last part that the jug sits on is locked into place. I hope that helps.
I will check to see if that is the issue! Thank you so much for your reply. This is very old as you know but it has worked incredibly well since we first bought it. 😉👍
I checked the top and locked it in but im losing water from the bottom. I took it apart clear to the bottom to clean it but i dont see where it could be leaking from the very bottom or why. Can you help?
You're 10 years older now. Hope you are in good health
Oh my! Lol I'm doing great, (no health issues) living my best life 😍
Thank you! This video saved my butt
Happy to have helped!
Never mentioned that the pump screw is left hand threaded?
Thank you for pointing that out. I was trying to figure out how to pin that information at the top. I think I'll need to put it in the description.
This was very helpful. Now my dishwasher to working !! Thank you !!
So glad lad it helped!
I can not get screw out to open the food chopper. 😢 and since you said yours was filled with gunk my OCD is fuming 😡 😂
Oh Shannie, Im so sorry, I so feel that. 😢 Maybe search for a tip on just being able to do that? I don't have our dishwasher anymore. Otherwise I would look again and see what the issue might. I wish I could be more help. ❤️🩹
Hello I’m so glad I saw this I have the same dishwasher. Today I took it apart due to not draining and the white disk can’t be screwed back in no matter the type of screw we use. We have tried just about everything and my husband put it without the screw. Do you happen to know if there is a replacement kit for this machine?
Hi Lmma - are you talking about the white disc at the 1:10 mark in the video? I remember that even after you put the screw in it continues to spin. They type of screw is flat on the bottom. Is your dishwasher still apart? You can the part to a Lowe's or Home Depot and have them fit a screw for you. I'm not sure how long of one you'll need so maybe get a couple different sizes? I think it's this part right here: partsdr.com/part/dd82-01125a-wash-impeller-assembly
You've done an incredible job with this guide, making Samsung dishwasher assembly a walk in the park. Your video is top-notch! Those in need of quality Samsung Dishwasher spare parts, visit our site.
Yall are livesavers! Thank you to infinity!
There is a rubber like flap down there Where the water is coming in How that rubber suppose to be
Thank you so much for this video. For showing where each screw went back in. I had one extra and couldn’t see where it went.
Omg thank you so much for this. For some reason the dish gel keeps landing on top of the dishes on the bottom rack and so I tried to do everything I could and I dissembled it as a last effort. I'm not a very handy man so I tried to keep the pieces together and once I accidently tumbled the pieces over I was so lost. This is literally the only video I can find and you helped me reassemble it before my wife came back home 😅 close one.
Question. At the very bottom (where the vid starts by the 2 white wire things) there was water. Should there be water there? It was a small amount too hard to reach or dry.
@@whydoyoukeeptalking yes there is always going to be a small amount of water in there. It never drains completely when the cycle is done. We actually have a new Bosch dishwasher and it's the same exact thing whenever I take out the filter to clean it.
Thanks this helped me and it was strap to the point.
Thank you thank you thank you sooo much!!! ❤❤❤❤
How
Thank you so much for taking time to upload the video. I just bought the dish washer and wanted to know how to take the inside and your video really helped.
How did you get the little white thing that turns out, I have tried but it turns as I turn the screw
Hi Tim, it's been a bit since I have done this and we no longer own the dishwasher (it died). After watching that part of the video I'm thinking I might have used a pair of pliers to hold it in place while I unscrewed it. I'm so sorry that I'm not more helpful. I hope you're able to get it off.
@Sunshine I have tried that as well. Does your husband remember if it was righty tighty or lefty loosey to unscrew it. I have only tried to turn it left to take off. I keep getting an OC code because water won't drain.
@@timgrubbs2299 I'll ask when he gets home from work tonight. So the standing water that's in the bottom we ended up having a repair man come out but it was not fixable. At least he couldn't figure it out. That's when we had to buy a new dishwasher. But I'll have my husband watch that part in the video and see what he remembers.
Great video! Thanks!
Did your dishwasher clean dishes better after doing this? Mine is identical and doesn’t seem to clean dishes great, so I’m wondering if doing this would help.
Hi Justin, to be honest I don't really remember. The dishwasher died about five years ago. Never get another Samsung dishwasher! Since then I've learned about the product called dishwasher magic. You can get it at Walmart and such or Amazon. I use this once a month pretty much on my new dishwasher. www.amazon.com/Dishwasher-Magic-Disinfectant-Cleaner-Lime/dp/B00QU18IT8/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=dishwasher+magic+machine+cleaner&qid=1679692137&sr=8-3
Oh and the type of dishwasher tabs you are using make all the difference. The Finish brand is horrible - even on my new Bosch dishwasher. I can only use cascade brand it seems to be the only thing that really works.
Thank you for the video! It helped me remember how to reassemble it.
The bottom of spray arm now won’t stay attached. I have tried many times and it keeps popping out which results in dirty dishes. Any advice?
It might not be snapped into place hard enough. It just snapped into place. Take the rack out and see if you can align it with anything and then press down until it snaps into place.
I have the same dishwasher but mine has gaskets between each of the plastic parts. Did yours not have any or did you not use them?
I am so sorry I do not remember. We actually don't have this dishwasher anymore because it died.
How did you get the wheel out that is above the food chopper? I can’t get the screw to turn.
We couldn't get it either!
On some Samsung models, the impeller screw is reverse threaded (i.e. clockwise to loosen, counter clockwise to tighten when looking down at the screw head.) That is the only screw that is reverse threaded. It should not take a lot of turning pressure to loosen or tighten because the thread part holding the screws is plastic, therefore easily stripped if you over tighten.
Thank you
The gunk I found was ... unbelievable. Merci beaucoup!
Samsung = BIGGEST PIECE OF SHIT.
I am so glad you guys made this video!! You just made me a hero in my house. I took my dishwasher apart, and forgot to take pictures ( dummy me) haha. Anyway, you just got a like and a new sub. Thanks again!!
Thank you
Thank you this help me out I had no idea how to put it back when I was taking mine apart to clean it thank you very much
Where can I order parts for my sunbeam water cooler? I need the part that she put the rubber gasket on. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance
Have you tried reaching out to Sunbeam directly? I would Google a phone number for them online for their customer service.
that part is called a diverter
Thank you so much I have a question my washer after is done steel sweat inside can you hold me please thank you
Thank you for making this video. It was really helpful.
Thank you for the detailed instructions!
You’re welcome! I didn’t think that there were even any of these in existence anymore. It’s a pretty old video Glad it helped.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
On my Samsung the water pump impeller screw is reverse threads. Our Samsung dishwasher & fridge has been absolute junk! We’ll never buy any Samsung product again & don’t recommend any.
Same here!
God bless you. Thank you for this video!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
So glad you found this helpful. God bless you to Carolina ♥️
You said you guys aren't experts. I beg to differ.
Glad you found the video helpful 😃
My God what a nightmare! My dishwasher has a hand removable filter, clean in a couple mins...
Yep it sure was!! My new Bosch has the same as yours. I love it!!
Good job.
Thanks!
Nice video, I just saw that my bottom part is not align in front hence the tube in the back is not align with the hole. this is probably why it gets some things in the washer, I have never touch this part so it mus of been like that always or we got it repair once and they must of put it back the wrong way.
Glad you found the video helpful 😊
I cannot get my filter off😞 it's on the side
Read through some of the comments. I don’t believe that filter comes off. I know mine was not removable. But I think someone mentioned something about it in one of the comments.
All the thumbs down 👎 are 👇🏼🤷🏽♂️
Same here. lol
Couldn't remember how to put it back together 🤦🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️.....YOU SAVED THE DAY! The only thing is I had a heck of a time with the rubber dealy. I remember you said the thick part up but I just couldn't figure that out. Totally my fault definitely not yours I just wanted to thank you for your video. 🌹 👍🏽👌🏽🙂💯💯💯💯
Awe, you’re so welcome Richard. Glad this was helpful. Have a blessed day 🙂
Thanks! If only Samsung would have explained in my useless user's manual. And their customer support is a joke. I would never buy a refrigerator, stove or air conditioner if I understood ahead of time that routine maintenance would be this involved. I'll never buy another Samsung appliance as a result. These devices are supposed to be LABOR-SAVING, not the other way around.
Same here! Shortly after we purchased the dishwasher we bought a refrigerator. Biggest mistake ever. We had so many issues with it. Glad the video was helpful. 😊
@@life_with_sunshine yes you did a great job. But now I'm worried because I also purchased a Samsung refrigerator. So far, no complaints, but I'll be curious to see any videos on that item :D
@@michaelwallace6939 I don’t have any of those videos. Lol All I know is it died within one month before the warranty expired and we got all of our money back. Went back-and-forth with them for a bit and really complained and they finally gave us our money back.
@@life_with_sunshine I rent and mine was brand new and lasted less than 3 months. Landlords exchanged for another Samsung and so far its lasted year
I’ll NEVER buy another Samsung product after this mess. What are they thinking. Had other dishwashers for years not needing this level of maintenance
Do you have to unplug the unit before doing all this and do you have to pull unit out as well?
You can shut the breaker off as an extra safety measure. You do not need to unplug it and you do not need to pull it out from the wall. Everything is done from inside.
