These zxr,s (H, J and L and P models) are virtually impossible to bump start. Putting that last clutch plate in like this chap has done (incorrectly) would doing that make these zxr,s easier to bump start if need be? You know for example flat battery.

What's bad about it? It's missing a few things but still looks cool. A lot of people don't have enough money to spend on all the accurate stuff. So a lot of people do it their own way.

Ryuk Hozuki hey man, so sorry I just saw this comment now! Totally my fault!! To answer your question, I actually ended up taking 2 single pickups, and wrapping them to make a homeade humbucker. Anyway, ended up splicing the single pickups together, soldering them to the 5way/3 way switch, and then to the tone knob. It was a little confusing, but you have to find the orientation of the switch you have and where you would need to put your specific wires, in your specific setup. I wish I could be of more help, it can all be a little confusing. Honestly just mess around with it. See what works, and what puts out sound. After all it IS. A frankenstrat. Sounds wild, but eventually it will end up working

@@michaelyates5864 thought so because of slipper clutch right? i just picked a zx7r up and my clutch is slipping under wide open throttle - bike pulls away fine etc and selects all gears, it had a clutch and spring kit a couple years before it came off the road for a few years so im wondering if maybe the friction plates are done right or need soaking in oil or what? it had an oil and filter change by the previous owner a few weeks ago before i got it - he used motul 10/40w semi-synth.

@@s1dew1nd3r4 nah, if your clutch is slipping you probably have worn frictions, incorrect thickness of clutch frictions or the wrong oil for wet clutch, the slipper clutch for these or as kawi labels the back torque limiter only work when you downshift, they don't even kick in when you shut the throttle. Make sure whatever oil you use is jaso ma rated, it'll be on the back of the bottle. My recommendation and it's going to sound strange, because it's a diesel oil, is Rotella t6 15-40. I've run it in 3 different zx7rs over the last 25 years, its great oil.

Yeah man you're very welcome! That is so neat you run peavey amps, they make some decent equipment! I have a couple friends who use the Boss ME-70 and they really like it too! Do you play other instruments too besides guitar?

Yeah its a great pedal and amp, I like peavey and boss stuff alot. i don't play anything nearly as much as I do guitar, but I can also play piano to an extent, and a few other things too but nothing crazy. guitars my thing haha
