strange engine noises coming from my 1989 Ninja 250 after a valve inspection. 7 out of 8 valves were out of spec, spark plugs looked fine, and CCT has been cleaned.

Initial start and test run of a P-Ponk O-520 conversion on this Cessna 182. Installation was provided through 92nd West Aviation. This video was recorded with a 5th Generation iPod Touch, so the audio quality does not do justice to the true roar of this engine. It sounds more like a big block Chevy with open headers.

OMG i had the exact same 🏍 and Color as this one , i had a Vance&Hines exhaust K&N Filter, Shorter Sprocket and a tune Man i miss that bike, only competion back then was the Suzuki Gxr HyperSport 1000...good luck with it💯👍

i'm in the process of looking at fjr's. as a previous owner - with no interest in selling me anything - how do / did you like the bike ?
mixter7x7 I loved the concept and comfort of the bike. However, it kept falling apart the more I rode it. It is one of the most difficult bikes I’ve ever worked on, and parts aren’t as cheap as some of the other makes. Stay away from the early first gen FJRs since they’re prone to valvetrain issues. I will say it’s a comfortable ride and very powerful but I now have a 1991 ST1100 that is a much better machine

drifter13 The hydraulic pump was working to raise the landing gear. When the gear was fully raised, either the pump shutoff (electic) or a bypass was opened (engine driven). This dropped the pressure to zero or nearly zero.
The landing gear physically hits the stops, and causes the pressure to build (spike) and disengage the control lever. There are no locks with the gear up, so pressure holds the gear in place. The gauge is a nice feature, mine does not have one, but has the same over pressure disengagement. Apache's are very fun as long as you respect the fact that on one engine, you lose 90+ percent of excess power, limiting SE performance. Always fly 200+ lbs below gross weight which gives you better margins on one engine.. and enjoy the old birds.

Its a 56 or 57 , I think 58 came with center stack radios, ohh reliable as it can be PA23 -150, entire generations of pilots learned to fly multi engine on those .
If you ever get tired of this exhaust or want to sell it i will be MORE than willing to pay you for it or even make me one. Love the low exhaust and it sounds bad ass! Did you have to get it tuned after this exhaust/get a power commander?

So... Let me ask you an important question. How did that zzr600J fairing stay work with your zx6rJ? I am dying to know because I'm turning my zx6rj into a track bike and would love to get rid of the cage, if it's not a huge problem or modification. Thanks... bike looks good.
The ZZR600 fairing is the way to go. It actually adds strength compared to the stock ZX6R stay/cage setup. I got mine brand new off of eBay for $32 shipped and it was plug-n-play.
ilovemy84vette Sweet man. Thanks. Oddly enough,the place on ebay that sells those $30 fairing stays is literally a mile from my house. I got a new screen from them a month ago for $20. I'll go pick that up today.
I do like the look of the bike. I don't like the front sigs on mine I'd like to integrate some. I have a video of it straight pipe tell me what I could do to give it a mean look? Need some ideas. Thanks!

Thanks! The bike has come a long way since I first traded for her in 2012. I'm always modifying little things on the bike, and I've already started on another exhaust setup!

@HyTechRedNeck007 The engine was a 160hp 0-320 with a fixed pitch prop. Plenty of power to haul the 6'4" 220lb pilot across the skies!
