    You need to be a better reader of operating manuals before posting videos 😮 The unit when in heat mode is controlled by a thermostat. You did not show the second step procedure needed to change from cooking mode, which is the standard when it starts up, into the thermostat controlled heater mode used when the lid is down. That heat mode is engaged by turning the temperature dial all the way to high and back to low two times to activate the heater function. You can tell it has been engaged into that mode when the lower symbol on the lower left will light up orange. Each of the numbers on the temperature range is associated with a specific degree of temperature (see the manual for that). When that room temperature is reached the unit will turn down the flame until the room cools and then when the room gets too cold it will turn the burner back on, the same way a regular furnace does. There is an overheat protection if some other heat source gets the room hotter than what you set the thermostat for; then the unit will then go into automatic shut down.

    • @ANTISHANTY
      @ANTISHANTY 9 днів тому

      Appreciate the comment! We lock our heaters in cook mode. The reason behind that, and the reason why we skipped the thermostat mode, is because it doesn't work like a thermostat in your home and we don't recommend our customers using the thermostat mode. In thermostat mode, it doesn't turn on and off like your home furnace, it only ever drops to the lowest setting, 1. In the ANTISHANTY, where it is a well-insulated space, between 1-2 is all you will ever want to run it at. In thermostat mode, if the temperature rises above the set temperature for more than 30 min. the whole stove just shuts off and will not turn back on unless you manually turn it back on. This is why we keep it in cook mode and crack some windows, so that it maintains a nice consistent temperature inside and so it doesn't shut off when you don't want it to, like while you are sleeping for example. Again, thank you for the comment, we appreciate it.

    As one who has owned a number of off-road RV units, presently using a BlackSeries HQ21 and this unit is by far the most rugged and functional unit with incredible insulation for four season adaptability. Do we need a starter capacitor if we're running on battery? If they had one about twice that size, I'd look at one immediately. The 3 panel bed system at the lowest level is perfect for those with big dogs. They sleep underneath, thank you! Can I hook up the EcoFlow generator to that unit? The fact it starts and stops automatically based on power status is a big benefit for us.

    • @ANTISHANTY
      @ANTISHANTY Місяць тому

      Thank you! Appreciate the comment and for recognizing the build quality and functionality of our trailers. You would not need a starter capacitor. What size of trailer would you be looking for? Any EcoFlow accessories that are designed to work with the current system should work great.

    Have you already done any maintenance to it ? Mine is starting to exhibit some flame out issues, so looking for videos on how to service it myself. That's the one issue with this stove, not many places to service them in the USA. Second issue is altitude, they burn really hot at 10k ft. They actually recommend using kerosene instead of diesel for that reason. They are built for sea level, and the "high" elevation setting is for 5k ft.

    • @ANTISHANTY
      @ANTISHANTY Місяць тому

      Hey there! Great question! No maintenance, even with our oldest unit from 2019. We work directly with Scan Marine, they have a lot of knowledge and great support on Wallas products. We lock ours into the high altitude setting in each trailer. They do recommend kerosene, which is a great option because it doesn't freeze and gel up like some diesel fuel at freezing temperatures.

Since you responded, I have another question/suggestion: For a model like Tundra which is able to completely open its rear window, why didn't you cut out a window in the camper to match it? Haha, it was great! It's nice to sit for a minute before we are standing all day long.

    Great concept, but too small. Maybe there are patent issues, but this would work better if the sleeping area was longer, swung up and away like AluCab, and the lower area was fully usable when not sleeping. Also, they seem to be enamored with doors. Too many and unnecessary. Ventilation is what's needed - along with insect mesh. Every door means hinges and frame areas to seal from water intrusion. I'll wait for version 3.0 if they survive long enough.

      Looks like an outdoors focused camper, so the layout makes sense. Too many campers focus on the living area and forget about storage and utility areas. The "garage", which is often an afterthought done with whatever space was left from the design. It's generally fine for a conventional camper where you're gonna spend most time inside and in an area with essential services. But to go out hunting, fishing, working, or doing some sport in a remote area, you just want an accessible storage area for all your gear and tools, and a comfortable sleeping place. This meets that criteria. It's essentially an updated version of the classic truck/car + tent.

    This whole thing is full of design flaws. Let’s start with the outdoor kitchen cabinets. They claim to have added these so that they don’t take up interior space. However, if they would’ve made the entire unit 12 inches wider on both sides you could’ve had additional interior space all the way up and down both side walls. Then when you open up the panel for that so-called chopping board/shelf, it would still be available in the same capacity that it is currently utilizing. The A-frame roof is another huge flaw. If you’re going to design a roof that manually cranks open like the A-frame roof then it should’ve created additional headspace For walking around the unit. Both the front and back could’ve had 600 denier nylon and zipper panels that attach to both sides of the A-frame and the ceiling of the unit to create the fully enclosed space for the inside of the camper while it’s parked and used as a camper, they used a lot of high-quality material and camping, gadgets and tools. Props to them for all of that the build quality seems to be great, but the design package has lots of holes and is a huge miss.

      Really appreciate the comment. - If we made the entire unit wider by 12 inches each way, the unit would no longer have a seamless floor or seamless roof panels, there would be seams everywhere. We use one-piece panels for a durable and weather-tight unit, as well as sustainability and minimal scrap. Also, by just having the Kitchen/Accessory boxes on each side, you can still use your side view mirrors on most vehicles. With the current width, you also get a better slipstream while towing. - The A-frame gives a 9'6" ceiling height for standing, stretching, changing, enjoying views, airflow, you name it. All bed panels can be removed, top bunk, and lower bunk, to allow for full standing and walking height through the whole unit. - Each A-frame end has integrated folding triangle walls that you close up to make a fully hard-sided, enclosed, camper. No need for fabric. Screens are also provided if you would like airflow but without the bugs. Again, appreciate the comment. Adventure on.
