Yes, yes we did to an awesome spot. We’ll be going back in a couple weekends as well. This was a scouting trip.
Consider offering a polyiso spray-in bedliner, before mounting the camper, in order for a pickup bed to handle the stresses of the camper. Some pickup beds are made so flimsy that cabover toppers will pop the welds in the bed. The polyiso will glue the inside of the truck bed to make it stronger and more rigid.
Thanks for the comment! Appreciate the suggestion!
I wish there was a sax player around the corner
That video would be 100% better if the Sexy Sax Man was dropping a solo right by the fire.
Why do you use the bubble style windows vs the other style (from arctic tern) ?
Great question! The flat style is a new release from Tern Overland and we are working on using our current stock of the bubble windows before we switch over to the new style.
That's awesome.
Thank you! Appreciate it!
Amazing windows on an amazing trailer.
Thank you man! Really appreciate that!
I loved it when you said you use the blue bin to wash your kid in it! Pretty fun!
Thanks man! It actually works really well haha
This trailer is perfect for what I want to do, plus it will carry my 2 ROKON motorcycles. I love your design.
Love to hear that! Thank you for watching. Those ROKON motos are pretty sweet! Would love to see some in our trailer. Feel free to reach out to info@antishanty.com and we can discuss your ideal build.
Have one for a 5'7" rambox. I have that 3500 with rambox on the megacab
Thank you for watching the video and dropping the comment, appreciate it. Unfortunately, the Rambox limit the ability to mount this system.
I can have my 6 man tent up in less than 5 minutes, and it won't rock around like it's on a suspension system, and It cost $50.
That's awesome! There are always trade-offs out there, this product's are quicker set up time, quiet and solid in high winds, fully lockable, elevated off the ground, and insulated.
Finally a company focusing on useful longer beds not the tiny short beds most rugged canopy builders have!
Thank you! Appreciate the comment and for watching the video!
looooollll fully😂 loaded $21,400.00 camper shell
Thanks for the comment! Appreciate you checking out the website and using our builder to build one out!
I bet its not loud at all at highway speeds
Definitley not as loud as a Jeep at highway speeds. 😉
@ANTISHANTY I'd need to see that for myself. That overhead cantilever design looks like a wind trap.
almost $20k as shown, FTS! I'll stick with my 8' Lance truck bed camper for my 7.3, my lance would be easier to remove when needed too.
Thank you for watching, appreciate the comment! Building high-quality, built-to-last products right here in the U.S. comes with its costs.
@@ANTISHANTY ur welcome, I know how it goes!
How do you prevent water from getting in if its raining when you want to pop up the sleeping area? Do you make a rain cover?
Great question! Set it up fast or wait for the storm to blow over. The extra security and protection from rain and wind with all hard sides is worth the brief rain during set up.
That's the nicest shell I've seen! Great in the wind, no fabric flapping. Also, great presentation......loved the bloopers! PS, thanks for putting pricing on your website. So many companies hide their pricing.
Thank you for watching and thank you for the feedback! Really appreciate the comment.
I can’t even imagine the price of this thing…
Appreciate the comment! Surprisingly enough, there are some products out there with soft tent sides for about the same price. Building extremely high-quality products right here in the USA has its value.
I dont get how thats a sleeping area.
It's about a full-size mattress sized sleeping area once the top is popped open.
@ANTISHANTY yeah I saw that after you get both floor panels in place. But then you can't get out without moving a panel and a mattress. Cool idea but more of a novelty than a comfortably sleeping area. Maybe if the entire roof raised up to allow standing upright with a folding bunk over the side cabinets just a cabineton one side idk. . I realize it is many things in one and that always means sacrificing something.
@@MR-xc3sw Great comment. We are developing a new panel system that will actually allow you to get up and down without having to move panels. Stay tuned.
Got something that fits my 1985 dodge d100? Ball park price? 🇨🇦 Alberta. Thx
That would be sweet! Send some pictures of it to info@antishanty.com.
Without having looked at pricing these seem like a great idea in the "wedge RTT' truck shell option. On my 09 Tacoma I've had a Flippac, FWC Finch, and an extra high Tradesman cap/shell. The latter being my favorite due to functionality. Specifically the made to order side storage cubby. the cubby is the perfect camp kitchen. I sleep in the back of the truck. Even with the taller cap it still feels a bit cramped. I hope this company survives the market with so many wedge RTT companies making this type of option. This looks very functional. The bloopers are hilarious.
Thank you for watching, really appreciate the comment! We hope so being the first hard-sided wedge to the market. Haha, glad you liked them.
It's great to see you answer questions, and I apologize if someone has already asked this. Do the windows up in the bed area not have bug screens? There was no mention of screens in the video. Sorry, but that would be a deal breaker for me.
Great question! We getting the bug screens dialed in and hope to launch them for 2025. Thank you!
@ANTISHANTY Thank you for the fast reply. That's great news!
@ANTISHANTY My only other comment would be that I'd love to see an option for the back door of the tent to open sideways. Then, the deck could be used as a drone launch.
No mattress in the tent? WTH?
We like giving our customers options to what best fits their lifestyle. Not only is the RTD a sleeping space, but it is also a a cargo space. On a day to the ski resort, you can load skis and boot bags up in the RTD. There are also many outdoor mattresses that fit great in the RTD, like Exped or Hest. Some customers prefer one of the other. Customers have the ability to choose for themselves.
This is one of the better ideas I have seen for the purpose.
Awesome! Thank you for watching and for the comment.
Window here window there but not a screen to be seen! I see nothing to keep the Minnesota state bird the 🦟 mosquito out!
I was wondering the same thing. That's a deal breaker for me.
Thank you for comment! We are getting the bug screens dialed in and hope to launch them for 2025. We may need to fact check you on the Minnesota state bird haha.
Bro that's baddass
Thank you man! appreciate that!
It's pretty cool, I would really want some screened windows, in the desert that's not a concern but, insects in most areas are terrible and you can get away in most northern places with a few windows open instead of worrying about powering an AC unit. I definitely like what are doing with your product.
Thank you so much for watching and for dropping the comment. We are working on our soft good manufacturing and dialing in window screens.
Merry Christmas fam 🎄😎
Thank you! Appreciate it! Hope you had a good one and Happy New Year!
Do u make one for a 2013 Silverado?😊😎
Can I get one for my 2013 lifted Silverado?
Do u make one for a 2013 Chevy Silverado???
Looks like Chevy made some significant bed changes in 2014. We would have to double check on the 2013. Email us at info@antishanty.com and we can discuss more. Thank you.
Do u make them for 2013 lifted Chevy Silverado???
What about on a lifted Chevy 1500 ? I have one and I'd put this on there
Man that top hard side tent would be perfect for my van build. Can I buy just the rooftop tent part?
You bet you can! It is called the RTD and we have it in a Slim version and a Cargo version. Check them out on our website.
@ANTISHANTY thank you that's awesome. Unbelievably it cost more money than just adding a hightop. An not just a little. I could literally have a factory install the hightop and have $5000 left over. Markup must be huge.
I'd like that hard top for my van. That would be perfect on my chevy.
That would be awesome! We sell them for vans with some materials to trim out the passthrough you create.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to the Antishanty family🙏
Thank you! Appreciate it!
Merry Christmas to you too
Appreciate it!
I have a 2000 F350 with an 8 foot bed. Not much in today’s market for me. Would this fit?
Great question, it could! Reach out to us at info@antishanty.com and we can have you take some specific measurements to make sure. Thank you!
I'd love to see a bill of materials and labor with costs for one of these to see how close it comes to the $15k price tag. Overlanding / camping stuff has gotten so expensive it's unreal.
Appreciate the comment! Surprisingly enough, there are some products out there with soft tent sides for about the same price. Building extremely high-quality products right here in the USA has its value.
Pretty unreasonable ask. Even more foolish to give out. It is a business and they need to make a profit. If one lives in a manufacturing world, a general rule is 40% gross margin works well. Depending on the market, it can be +/- of that.
@@TheBeingReal Do you own shares in this company? Is it unreasonable for consumers to look into if they're being ripped off? I don't expect them to give me this information, not for one second. But I want other people to think about if a base price of $15,000 for this is actually reasonable. At the end of the day people are going to finance any stupid thing, so they'll probably make some sales. It's just unfortunate that these companies taking advantage of that situation means others will as well, and we'll never see equipment like this at reasonable prices.
Appreciate all of the comments. We can guarantee you that in order to operate, manufacture, and offer these types of products, pricing is extremely reasonable. Honestly, the price should be higher, especially when you compare the product to some of the soft-sided options out there.
I'm not even in the market for this product, but damn this is cool. Makes me wanna buy a truck again lol.
Thank you so much! Really appreciate that!
Are you going to sell the cap alone in the future?
You bet! That is the plan!
@4:50 you are the perfect chill guy to demonstrate this function properly for us
Haha, thank you, appreciate it!
Do the windows have screens?
Screens are in the works and are getting dialed in.
@@ANTISHANTY Nice, a lack of screens would be the only downside I see to your dwelling! I'll keep an eye on them!
Does the front part that extends over the cab clear the Prinsu rack on the Tacoma?
Great question. I believe it does clear the Prinsu rack, not the Prinsu Pro Rack though.
This is now the only setup I want. I hope i can afford one before my expedition from the Wasatch to the Alaskan Arctic this coming summer, and again to the the Canadian Arctic the following summer. Still a chunk of money that I don't know if it's possible. But i will do all i can to try and make it happen!
We would love to build you one if it all works out! Those sounds like some awesome trips! Reach out to us at info@antishanty.com or text us on our website and we can chat more.
Need to see one of these 4XD’s in person. One thing I missed seeing while up there. Not sure if you had one built or not.
Might have been out and about.
Nice setup, bet it is insanely expensive. Yup not worth it’s way to expensive.
Appreciate the comment! Surprisingly enough, there are some products out there with soft tent sides for about the same price. Building extremely high-quality products right here in the USA has its value.
TJ Miller sells these now?
Yeah man! Isn't that wild?
That upper sleeping section looks cheesy and small. For the amount of space you have to work with id rather see a nicer tent up top. Still a sick rig.
Appreciate the comment! The upper sleeping section (Roof Top Dwelling) is 86″ x 52″ interior sleeping dimensions, all hard-sided and insulated. What tent did you have in mind?
@ANTISHANTY maybe not a tent but if the whole thing lifted up instead of a clam she'll for more head room would be a sick design. Especially with hard shell walls. If you could figure that out it'd be the only thing on the market like it.
Does this come in a 6.5ft bed without the camper on top.
It does come in a 6.5ft. bed option, but the camper on top is included. It could potentially be removed and replaced with a roof. But the shell would be taller than the cab by a few inches. Is that something you would be interested in?
Looks like a great product. There isn’t too many companies supporting long bed trucks which is what mine will be (if ram ever launches the 2025’s). With that said, I can appreciate changing the typical layout to something no one else is doing. However, for me I’d prefer a pop up portion that covers the entire bed length as I’ve considered mounting a rack/tray on the cab roof… OR, maybe just the topper without any tent setup. For me, the rear tray isn’t as important. Very unique though. Subscribed for new videos.
Thank you for dropping the comment and sharing your thoughts, really appreciate it! A full length pop-top would be rad! A full topper would be a faster turn around if you are interested. Thank you for subscribing!
