I bought one in 2002 almost full grown from a petstore and its still alive,cant believe it..totally stopped eating bugs a few years ago but since i have leachies and cresties its been flourishing off the diet i feed them as you mentioned

Have you ever tried the Leapin Leachies formula of food? That formula of food has a much higher protein content than the repashy & pangea, just a thought. Very informative video btw bud. Totally agree with alot of what you've said.

Yep that did it! I'm in. Started keeping and breeding Tokay geckos for the same reason. Would you say it would be better to start with adults or juveniles if I wished to have a pair that I could handle? Tokays seem to be easier if you handle them from a young age. Thanks for this video it really was the tipping point for me. I've been thinking about it and researching for almost 8 months...after this video I just want to be part of the solution. These guys are amazing and so underrated!

Another very good video! I too like to keep the odd geckos or the not popular, mostly I try to keep the ones with bad raps or the ones becoming endangered. Hate the thought of loosing such amazing animals. Thank you for the wonderful video!

Can you breed a Tokay gecko with a green eye gecko???

I live in Indonesia. Halmahera and Ternate actually names of the Islands in Indonesia. In my country, most breeder sell this gecko only for about 20-30 US dollar.

Hi sir good day,,I have a gecko

A common geko socialization is to lick the nose. If you rub their noses it helps calm them and will make them lick your fingers. This socialization also proves to me they CAN enjoy your company. Social animals like tokays are ones that can actually show affection. There are a few cues they can give you to how much they like your presence. I've seen them request to get out of cages etc. They seem to be a bit smarter then your average reptile.

Last year I had bought 2 Halmahera geckos from a very reputable exotic pet store. I checked and made sure one was male and the other female. I knew eggs had been laid as I had found 2 of them. I thought that was all. But today I found a hatched baby running around my enclosure (which I caught before anything happened to it) and also found another egg which I've taken out and placed into a homemade incubation tub along with the hatched baby. There is one more egg that I took to the pet place and they are incubating it for me.

My cat had my baby in its mouth but saved it from my other cats perfectly fine and back in his cage. Can't believe it but life is life and it's my first gecko I ever breed. But made sure it will never happen again learned my lesson and blue is my nogga.

Wow amazing! This pumps me up to go out and keep looking for a cb Halmahera gecko. So hard to find. All mine are wild caught so just for show. Anyone know who has some let me know! Well any ways keep your all your hard work I love the videos all very fun and interesting.
