You have bigger issues with thad engine if ypur coolant looks like that. That to me looks like it's contaminated with oil.

In the UK ,the Farmers would put a second fuel tank in the Land Rover. The tank that the police would find would have normal Diesel in, but the other tank will have Agricultural (Red) diesel. The Customs and Excise, or ,police will check the fuel tank, and also inside of the engine, to make sure that you are using the correct diesel.

Yeah, dyed fuel is intended for off-road use only. In 2007, there was a distinction between low sulfur diesel fuel with sulfur content lower than 200 ppm and ultra low sulfur diesel fuel with sulfur content less than 15 ppm. In 2007, all new highway engines were required by the epa to use ultra low sulfur diesel. I believe at this point, all diesel is of the ultra low sulfur variety and other additives have been found to add to the fuel to compensate for the lack of sulfur content in older engines that might need it. Non highway fuels do not have the highway fuel taxes included in the price, hence the lower fuel cost. Because of this, dye is added to the fuel. I think CRST is the only OTR company that hires in south florida . None of the others go south of Okeechobee. That's what I was told when I used to call around back in covid.
