I love the demo board setup!
This is basically TheSDX’s system is on steroids
Hey, you guys look familiar...
What an absolutely crazy awesome set up, looks great!
for the fx-2000 it sounds like my schools system here in calgary where its a spectr alert advanced advanced system with mini horns in some rooms
Wow thats very cool! I remember when you shown me the pictures of it and Its nice to see some of it working!
awesome board
I need a password too, anybody can give it
What panel is it?
Notifier AFP-200
Device enable disable please tell sir
What is difference b/w qs1,qs2,qs3
Can you give a schematic and maybe the code for it
Is it conventional?
I'm in Vietnam, I don't know if this line control needs a key to set it up or not?
The 439d sounds so good on code 3.
A lot of good technicians quit and a lot of good marketing and technologists staff got the boot. The 6500 was the last decent panel. Things went downhill after the 8500 The 8500 was a panel that was nearly impossible to go into service / test mode. I’ll do a clip on it one day.
I’ve heard the engineers of this panel were fired because they couldn’t get its networking capabilities ready for Ottawa City Hall.
@@CJ9899 I heard something like that too. Edwards had networking experience with their 8500 in “star” topography 1200baud rs485. If I’m not mistaken, the esa2000 was running an 80286 intel chip. The technology was purchased out of Florida. Most manufacturers were “token ring” topography networking. Anyhow, after the dust settled they moved on to the irc3 with SS heads. Wow, talk about a rough ride for the company.
@@formosabrowning3539 Mirtone was the original designer for the ESA though right? I’ve heard that story a lot too. Though it seems once Edwards got their hands on it, they took a lot of stuff from the 8500 (particularly the annunciator as a whole, and applied it to the ESA. Mirtone probably also explains why it’s so quirky in design
@@CJ9899 not that I am aware of. I was standing in the hallway outside of the final negotiating for the purchase of mirtone. It was late 88 or early 89. I can’t think of anything positive from that deal but after all the firings one of the main negotiators got a high ranking position at Mircom. That’s how I remember it.
@@formosabrowning3539 Damn that’s unfortunate.
So most likely the reason why there is a trouble is cause you don't have a 47k OHM resistor but I may be wrong.
That chime sounds absolutely beautiful
7:35 what are these zones for? Wouldn’t all the bell zones activate, or what is this for
Nice system!!
Wow, nice system, cant wait for more videos!
I'm hoping you can help me out. I'm trying to program a QS1 with a serial cable. I made sure the wiring was correct, I followed the manual and verified with a continuity tester. It's a 1.8 version but I'm programming it with 2.5 since I heard it is supposed to work. I'm using the serial connector on my laptop (Com1) and trying to read the database but it gives "an error has occurred" and it tells me to retry. When I try to transmit a database to the panel, it gives me an error "failed to autobaud". Could it be the software as the problem or is it something else?
I would try the 1.8 program to get the program off the panel and then use code loader to update the panel to 2.5 and if you can transfer the file to the 2.5 program but I have not tried this so do this on your own caution. But do save that 1.8 file keep it safe.
@@canadianalarms Ok so I tried to read the database with 1.8 as well and it gave me errors too. I'm certain the cable is right since it's just a serial cable with the end chopped off, I verified it's making good contact with the connections on the panel. What should the baud rate be set to?
I wish that simplex never got rid of the “Dover buzzer” from there annunciators.
Yes same here
How do you put it in walk test
This!!
Walk test on these panels has to be programmed as a service group. They don't come standard with it.
Nice
What do you need help with
wow
TLC is time limit cut out. It's not from 1973, it's from 1981 to 1987
Does the duct detector have a key switch
capt421 Yes it does unfortunately I forgot to get a good shot of it
Canadian alarms oh ok. I also gotta say. You make great system test videos. I have a silent knight sk5208 conventional 10 zone panel.
capt421 thanks and that’s cool 😎
Hi hunter I'm Mason by the way
Mr Mtb pro oh Hi I was just thinking of you

Do you have any conventional zone input cards you would be willing to sell zA8 or Zb16
I unfortunately do not at this time but if I come across one I will let you know
neat!
Cool!
This is so Canadian, from the mircom, to tragically hip playing in the background, that I think my dog is turning into a beaver
Omg yes! I can't believe I just noticed this comment. 🇨🇦
Cool!
