      At first thats what I thought too, I asked the person at the helm "was the boat in gear?" He said NO. The only way we knew he was alive was his eye watching us as we moved across the boat. After 4-5 mins he let go and swam away

      @@feverfishingaustralia5808t's good to hear that it eventually swam off! He does look a bit stuck between the prop and the motor housing, I imagine it would have had to have been out of gear for it to have been able to get such a bite on the prop like that! IDK but, looked like the shark ate the bait that you were fishing with, then your fishing line was caught in the prop, reeling the shark up to your boat motor unable to let the bait go.

    • @feverfishingaustralia5808
      @feverfishingaustralia5808 2 роки тому

      He ate a whole tuna. There was no line in the motor but when he got frustrated and saw the boat he thrashed and just attacked the prop. After he had a rest there for about 5 mins he swam back down to the depths. No harm done either way

      There was dome type of mother running at the back of the boat you can just about see the shark latches on then the noise stop so whatever he bit stopped it from working. Mabye he broke free eventually I don't know but that's what I see and heard

    • @feverfishingaustralia5808
      @feverfishingaustralia5808 2 роки тому

      80lb main line either whiplash or power pro, 600lb nylon for the main rig. In the long run the rigs are better performing and cheaper. After I had lost a few sinkers and good fish to shop bought rigs I had to evolve, its worth it and good fun when you cant go fishing

    Why are the claws of marrons so small in proportion to the body? Do their claws get proportionately bigger and closer to the width of the body as they grow older? We've all seen yabbies with claws bigger than the body itself. Why is the marron different?

      Hey George, i couldn't get a scientific answer but I have noticed the the claws do tend to stay proportionate to the size of the body the bigger they get. I suppose the Marron would say that it's because the symmetry makes them better looking than the yabbies!

    Love your video..!! Just a suggestion. You should never fight the fish with the motor running full time. If the fish is taking line you should not run the reel. Once he stops then hit the button again. Letting the motor run constantly just rapidly wears out the motor and the drag. Those Daiwa's have about a 2 year max lifetime in your fishery at best. Once those wear out try a Kristal. I have 4 655's that have over 30 years of use with no breakdowns. Again a great video and a fantastic day of fishing..

      Hey Merdel, Ive had this one for only a few months. Prior I had a half cab 6.7 fibreglass. Very different boats but this is really good. I didnt deal with Oceanic but all reports Ive heard have been good. There has been some extra bracing done post build, not sure of the story behind it but I think its because its a full hard top . In short I love it. 2 things I would have done better, firstly built in more storage in all available space including front cab seats. 2nd is put the fridge on rollers caming out of the side facing seat rather than under the seat it self. Thanks for watching...might see you in your new boat soon.
