From an m6 e63 the smg accumulator if its bad, the pressure target will never reach due low nitrógen pressure.? My system can not reach more than 75 bar even if the pump is on lot of time. What could be the issue?

Very good solution for vanos problems! Should the VANOS system be purged after replacing the accumulator? What is the price for re-gassing a S50B30 VANOS accumulator? Thanks

Hi - No need to purge, in fact very difficult to do an explicit VANOS accumulator purge other than leaving the Fluid union very very slight loose to allow a seep of Oil out on engine start and then nip up. But not necessary if you have ensured the feed pipe is still full of oil when refitting the unit - Just make sure everything is clean before you remove the old / fit refurbished unit -- UK only £50 inc P&P for a re-gas of your unit or £100 for service exchange £50 deposit returned when we get your unit back www.autoaccumulators.com -- Regards kevin@autoaccumulators.com

I was told these are normally scrap once they've lost their gas! I've got a Mercedes SL55 AMG and I've got no fluid going through, I believe this is due to the accumulators having lost pressure so the ABC has locked the valves, any chance you could send me over a quote for refilling those?

Very good chance they are not scrap. Most Accumulators can be re-charged with Nitrogen - The Nitrogen Charge dissipates slowly over many years but can be reset back to OEM pressure. HOWEVER occasionally the diaphragm can split OEM parts tend to be a lot better than some Pattern Parts that tend not to last long. - all down to quality standards during Manufacture and why we test this at AA - YES we can do all Mercedes ABC, SLS, ASD accumulators contact me at kevin@autoaccumulators.com
