the cicada sounds. my god Japan is a dreamworld.
Beautiful brushwork and depth. That painting is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing your talent.
Have never seen an artist use an eraser on their painting 😮
is it ok if he leaves his paint open like that?
seems like it would be pretty hard on the old fellers back
I like listening to this in the background sometimes while I work, because I don't understand what he's saying but I can feel the ambience. The ticking clock punctuating the silence especially reminds me of sitting in my grandmother's house on a rainy afternoon.
this is so relaxing to watchhh
I love it 🎉
Chasing the feeling, without rushing the process. 💜
what is the round white thing he uses to blot? is it a roll of toilet paper?
He seems to have a gentle soul
I love so much your paintings. They have much sensibility. Arigatō
Absolutely stunning 😍 so delicate yet somehow powerful in the imperfect beauty of nature perfectly captured. Amazing.
So beautiful to watch! I love how he works for about an hour and stop to contemplate what he has done. Love how he’s talks about his vision for this scene.
Gorgeus!! Please what IS the thing that you call eraser? A cotton ball? A bandage? Thank youmbecause of you exist and gige us such art
그리는 방법 잘 보았어요.
"La Barranquillera y La Farza" deberia ver y practicar esto un millon de veces
The beautiful art painted by the heart of humanity, it’s truly joyful to see it. 人の優しで描く、自然の美しさ。本当に素敵です。
His original sketch was so detailed. He used colour pencils too.
What kind of paint is he using?
Trabalho maravilhoso 😻
ROUGH BEAUTY
anyone know what paper he uses?
I promise you this, as much as they hype it, A.I. will NEVER get HERE.
Heartbreaking when you think about how many lovely jobs will be lost due to digitalisation. 😢
anyone know what paper did he use?
Does anyone know which lamps he is using
Beautiful work, thank you for sharing and recording this session❤
I feel Blessed for watching this
This was taken in 2007- 16 years ago
i've watched this video about 10 times and don't plan on stopping!
Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for sharing this with us! What an amazing artist! Now I'd love to buy one of his pieces!
I wish i had a father like Kazuo Oga🤩❤❤

Grazie per questo video che mi dà un momento di estasi Desidero chiederle che carta e colori usa e dove comperarli grazie e buon lavoro
Interesting how today most younger artists would never work without a computer at the same desk for reference. I'm also surprised he works with a yellow light at the desk, as that can affect the colors you mix and color comparision.
Interesting how back in the day old masters would rarely work without a model to pose for them for reference
@@satirics7701 interesting how no one ever takes you serious
He is as soft and gentle than his work. What a wonderful workshop.
Gosh I’ve been searching the vast wide web for that size of Nicker poster paints, but all I can find is 40ml bottles perhaps it’s only available in Japan. 😢
Ik you made this 2 months ago, but I think those are the 40ml bottles. I got a set that looks exactly like them, unless my depiction of size on screen is wrong 😅
Oh I just found this and I cant believe theres only one! I enjoyed this very much, hope you will make more? Also what kind of paint are you using? thank you!
is he drinking beer in the morning?
Probably barley tea since it’s summer
@@kellyrowe4075looks a lot like a half pint of lager
Why not?
Master of watercolor!
how , great job, really impressive,
Does someone know the song in the beginning?
Loved his painting and the workspace.
What sort of brushes is he using? That big brush can go to an incredibly fine point! Can't get that from my western sables
He more than likely uses natural hair brushes. Which are the easiest to keep pointed. Also, he applies light strokes. He isn't putting that much pressure on the brush. It's all in the type of brush and how you maintain them. This video should help you get a clear idea on how to clean them and keep them fine. ua-cam.com/video/GL-TgxXXRx0/v-deo.html
I love how modest is he talking about the process of his work, he has no prob with saying I don't know if this is the roght color or I can't predict the result, I just try...just wow I think young artists can learn a lot from this
im still learning to painting like him and other japanese artists using watercolor and postercolor since 2019, and it's quite difficult
A good Japanese artist to emulate and study if your trying to paint like Oga Kazuo would be Kawai Gyokudo. That period of nihonga school where western elements are mixed with more older Japanese traditional painting is in my opinion the origin of ‘Ghibli look’.
This is so beautiful! The 150 people who disliked this - I feel sorry for them. They are unable to see beauty in simplicity!
I really admire him for staying focused even when someone with a camera watches him. I hate it when someone watches me when doing I'm art
Every millimetre is divine. What a Master.
