I have the same problem on my 2016 Mazda 6 Touring. Started when the car was relatively new (and still under warranty). They tried a couple of things that didn't work but obviously never looked at this (or maybe they knew but didn't want to eat the cost of replacing the speaker). I have a service appointment this week for other items. I am going to point to the records that show this was an early issue that was never properly addressed and see if I can get them to come clean and replace it. If not, I will do the repair.
Same problem in my 2016 Mazda 6 Touring. I thought it was a blown speaker on my passenger side despite rarely playing music loudly. I've been happy with the car despite this, but it's good to know this is a relatively easy fix. Just disappointing that a car that has always been in a garage and otherwise babied would still have this issue!
@Samuel Jesse Jonah Yeah. Surprisingly, all my gun cleaning chems were super useful. Rust/blue remover, degreaser, etc. I even used cold blue on the steel where the paint peeled to keep it from rusting more. Lol.
Unbelievable lol 45 minutes to an hour and I had both front doors pulled apart, speakers out and super glued, and all put back together. Sounds brand new! Thank you
My driver door had this issue and now my passenger door has it , little tip , the clips that hold the door panel on can break / snap , if you slide some cotton or string around the clip and pull tight , the clips come out without breaking.
Thanks bro.... both of my wife's front speakers just started doing this last week & I was about to replace them. Everyone should cashapp you $10 bucks for this info 💯
Have the same problem with my Mazda3's Bose system... problem is (in my car at least) the door speakers are actually special 1 ohm woofers so if you replace it with anything else you're going to loose all the bass in your system... and the only one who sells the same size 1 ohm woofer? You guessed it, Bose for $160 each!
Thanks for the tutorial, had the same issue for a 2014 Mazda 3 with the Bose system. Same driver side speaker. Parts were going to be around 100+, I just put some sealant on the back part that was detached, and put some foam there to hopefully stop and water penetration and now it looks like the issue is solved.
Thank you! This helped me. My speakers were more than 1/2 separated. I used silicon waterproof sealant to resecure. Rattle is completely gone! You really need to pull hard on the door panel to get the clips off. Definitely worth getting replacement clips or a tool to remove them correctly as I broke a few getting them on and off.
Great step by step mate. Helped lot of lads here it seems. I would recommend buying 5-10 mazda 6 door clips on ebay or amazon for 5-6€ because you will most likely going to rip them off.
Just bought a 2013 Mazda 6 Navi Sport 2.2D with 101K miles. The front speakers are fooked.Im gonna either repair or upgrade both front door speakers.
Wow! I told my wife she damaged the speakers when listening music way to loud. This really worked and my wife is innocent! Thank you!
Drivers side in my dash is making static noises can u make a video on that?
I wish I would’ve gone to UA-cam first before spending $600 bucks 🤦🏻♂️
What a disappointment the Bose speakers are! I thought they were supposed to be the best but apparently not. Thank you for showing me how to fix it🙂
all 2016 mazda 6 with bose sound system will do this... eventually. poor design for a "premium" product, thanks for the guide!
Thanks for uploading this. Just sorted both sides of mine. Both were completely detached. Sounds awesome now, wish I’d done it ages ago!
What size are those speakers already installed stock? would a 2012 model have the same size?
I can confirm it worked on my 2015 mazda 3, which is very similar procedure Loved it!
That's God's work right there 😇
Thanks man, managed to fix mine thanks to your video 👍
Excellent vid 💪🏻 Ty so much 👍🏻🍻
Exactly the video I needed thank you

I’ve Done this exact fix to my 2014 Gt, and now after about 1 1/2 years of ownership after the fix havent had the problem since! Amazing work.
Thank you! I managed to fix mine myself. This tutorial is great and easy to follow!
Omg ! Have this issue with my 2012 mazda 6 GT sounds the same as in your video. Going to try it this weekend.
Does anyone know where I would get the clips like that in Melbourne Australia?
You are the best you save me a lot money
Did this hold up? Seen others say to use clear silicon instead as glue dries it out.
Great guide, thank you.

Dang man....THANK YOU!!!!
2014 Mazda speaker fixed….. thanks heaps brother
Same damn problem here. I'm going to degrease and sand the lose paint off this sob before gluing.
@Samuel Jesse Jonah Yeah, I used silicone RTV on both sides of the diaphragm after removing the rust.

Same issues with Mazda CX-5. Bose must be garbage.

Great fuckin video. My dad and I were cracking up and it worked!!
Why are you using glue? Glue is gonna dry and crack from vibrations...why don't you use silicon?
Thank you, I was just about to just upgrade my whole system but Ill just try this cause I want to feel like I accomplished something
This guy cussing is just the best 😂 😂 seriously this shit pisses you off
"take the fucking door off"
Hi mate! Your video has been really helpful for me! I fixed my speaker and saved a lot of money!!! Cheers, Fabio.
Great video brav ..thank you ..you saved me 450 $ thank you
Thanks bro! Saved $600 bucked. Keep up the good work
Just buy a better speaker problem solved
You can't... the door speakers are special 1 ohm woofers that are ONLY made by Blows...
So I got a 2014 mazda6 Nd my speaker in both doors are gone Would my fellow members reccomend replacing with Bose or a nice after market?

Man thank you so much, i had the same problem 👌
Thanks I have the same car and year model and the same problem at the same side of the car.

Sean Huban what would the tool be?
Did you also use clamps like he did? Or just the sealant worked?

This happened with the left door speaker of my Mazda 3 a few years ago. I just watched this video before fixing the speaker on the right door. Thanks.
Just had my left speaker go on my Mazda 3 they need to recall it
