This scene makes more sense when considered with a similar scene. There was a group of obvious smartasses and drug abusers/dealers before him, and I believe they all met Mr Bonestripper. These are clearly just a bunch of benign musicians and he just lets them go.

Actually seeing this scene makes me sad. Knowing that the movie isn't even that old (ok, I know it's been over 30 years, but everyone was still relatively young) and some are gone, Chevy is over 80 years old... today everything seems so far away

The young and innocent days of 2pac while he was still relatively unknown on the mainstream level.

Wow remembered watching this over and over again on HBO as a kid. Had no idea who 2Pac was but you could tell there something legendary about this movie.
