I was watching the channel Double Toasted review this a few weeks ago, and they made a good point. This movie would have been hilarious if Digital Underground were the main characters, doing like a hip hop Scooby Doo/Abbot and Costello type horror comedy.
I loved the subtle social justice message in this scene. The rich white banker gets the book thrown at him while the black musicians get pardoned. Awesome!
To be fair, its "social justice message" is explained in the movie. That bankers fucked over the the judges family back in the 1800s, leading to Valkenvania as how its seen in the movie and giving him a hatred for them, which is why he's holding Chevy Chase's character.
