All and all what's everyone think is this a tool you could see yourself using out in the shop? lets hear your thoughts below.
You dont gotta take the drawers out to bolt em together btw. If you just reach in there and use your finger eyes the drawer doesnt obstuct it.
Btw you can easily remove the drawer latches. The guides have detents to keep them in the closed position. Did this on my 6 drawer full bank cart and it makes it so much nicer to use.
@@BraydenSB that’s awesome I appreciate it. I’m used to the locks my snap on krl has similar detents I imagine I could remove both if needed. Definitely good to know.
I been doin this without sockets for years fuckin up all the hoses 🤠
Genius until you need one of those sockets.
This would have been REAAAAALLY useful for me abiut 7 years ago but unfortunately I am not as bright as most people say I am
noice
Wow, I found the 1 in 2,500 useful shorts.
Genius, best thing ive seen all week
Hell ya. It ain’t dumb if it works
Solid trick
I thought he said tuah hawk😂
I do that all the time when working with fountain drink systems i put a plastic hose on mine
It works really good. It ain’t dumb if it works
@@JustgaragenitI do the same, except for last night when I took a shotgun blast of syrup to the chest working under a freestyle😂
@@GooberGaryythat’s wild. Definitely sounds like a mess
Chaud
Anyone with the 3.0 duramax they now make an upgraded oil plug because the stock ones are white dog sh*t
Been looking at this for a couple of months...waiting for Black Friday sales at Home Depot, to pick one up. Really need it for my tractor, and all of my implements...Thanks for the review.
@@triglidecowboy7434 thanks for watching. They are definitely a great tool to have. Makes it much easier and faster than a traditional hand pump grease gun.
Local Mechanic quoted me for $780 for each side half complete bearing
@@SunShine-bb2nc that’s wild, definitely price gouging. Fairly easy job and reasonable parts. Easier than changing most wheel bearings by a long shot
I'm near the boarder and work in the US often. As a fellow Canadian I have to point out that a 52" Husky box is different depending whether you look at them in Canada or the US. Husky boxes with the exact same SKU and model version can be two different builds from different factories which led me to look at US General. Harbor Freight's boxes are better all around, thicker sheet metal and solid paint inside and out. Husky boxes in my area (Atlantic Canada) rust inside the box quickly which is not covered by warranty. US General is the better choice despite our pathetic Canadian Dollar.
@@Generic321 the husky and other Canadian equivalents just don’t cut it. Crazy we can’t get anything like u.s general in Canada. The quality metal thickness and paint is definitely better with u.s general you hit the nail on the head.
@@Justgaragenit Yup. The Us General would sell very well in Canada.
@@metricdeep8856 100% it would be a huge seller. Nothing is even close for value and quality.
Thanks for the video
Did you look at the napa Carlyle brand boxes ? .. they're rebranded Homak boxes . 24" deep which is better than the US general. Also were there any customs charges coming across the border ?
@@EverydayJ1786 honestly I looked at a few different boxes here I haven’t really looked at the Napa boxes since they sold international. And I got away lucky not getting charged duty. But I’d figure duty in to the cost if you plan to go pick one up
For Carlyle being $1150-$1400 for the 41”. I’d expect it to be better. But maybe not twice the bang for the buck. Then they only have a Evercraft 26” for $593. It would be cheaper to get another U.S. General 42” and have even more space.
@@chaselesser3191 it’s definitely a good value for what you get. I have a snap on Krl 29” deep and I could easily swap it with my u.s general and be content.
Very nice ! I bought 2 42" boxes and bolted a 27" between them. Got the corresponding top boxes and an end locker. I was patient and got them all with a coupon or on sale. Financed most of it by selling my 35 yr old Snap On box, since I no longer need a high end box since it is just used at home now. I think the quality of these boxes is fantastic for the price.
@@SmithFarmTilton that sounds like a pretty killer setup. What colour did you go with. They are definitely great boxes for the price. Eventually I’d like to build a work station like you have.
What a setup. Any pictures?
I was considering purchasing the top box to go with my 42 but I might do this instead. Now I need a good coupon for the 27. Thanks for the video!
@@Taz3459 it’s a great setup. Harbor freight just had the 27” on for $279 at the end of September.
I picked one up for $ 279
@@SA-bq1us that’s awesome that’s a killer deal.
He’ll yea buddy doing mine soon. So jelly of your lift!
@@SherlocckHolmez that’s awesome man the job goes pretty well these teslas are really well built and are easy to work on. The hoist is definitely super nice to have but definitely not necessary.
@@Justgaragenit I bought a nice set of flat top jack stands. Been gravy ever since. Did an upper control arm now rear bearings comin up. I agree well built. 2019 model 3 179000km.
Although I’m hoping it’s the wheel bearing and not a bad cv joint.
@@SherlocckHolmez if it’s the wheel bearing you’ll hear it more under side load. Turning side to side you’ll hear it hum.
@@Justgaragenit I havent particularly noticed a hum or a click. When the car is jacked up theres a slop/clunk when I spin the tire. seems tight otherwise,
Hey did u had to pay anything at the border when entering back into Canada planing on getting one
@@harkiratbhangu4983 yes you’d have to pay duty unless you’ve been out of the country long enough.
I'm tempted by the series 3... But I'm getting older and want a 1 and done box so I'm now looking at the tekton/rousseau 60x27 or 60x30. If I was just getting started again that 27" series 3 could do it all with the proper modifications and organizers. Wonder what your cost if for the Canada made tekton if you get it directly from Rousseau.
@@PunisherOfDeath101 I’m not sure what the cost would be. I did a good amount of research and for the price and quality this made the most sense.
How many miles did that model y have for the wheel bearing to wear out?
Depends on how you drive or hit potholes typically it lasts around 45k-60k miles
I would have loved to see it in action man!!!
@@Shortytj1 I’ll have to make a video of it in action. It’s a must have tool in the box in my opinion. Works pretty slick.
On the 27 inch 1. How much weight does that toolbox? Hold the wider drawers and do they have 2 slides on each side? Please comment back and let me know. Just on the wider drawers, they should come through with. 4 sliders on those drawers.Thank you very much for this video
@@martinneps9387 the bottom drawer is the only one with 2 slides in each side the rest are all single on each side. Seems to hold weight really good no complaints.
Up. I like the 27 inch, but I would like to know if the wide drawers have 2 rails on each side to hold weight. Please comment back in. What is the selling price of this toolbox? Thank you for this video. Hope you let me know.
@@martinneps9387 on the 27” the only drawer that has double rails is the bottom the rest of all the drawers are single on each side. The price of the box combined for both was $1006 usd out the door. Thanks for watching.
@@JustgaragenitHow much was just the 27? I do. A lot of coins and I want one just to lock up my coins. And I have a lot of penny's that the single draw rails will not whole. That's why I'm looking for a stronger toolbox. What is the price of the 27?Please let me know thanks
Nice setup. I got the 27" recently with the top chest. Love the expandability options in the future with other size boxes.
That’s awesome, they are great. The expansions are endless. Great bang for the buck.
It won’t last more then a week
Lazy
@@vassilyknigge850 or is it efficient?
@@Justgaragenit More like less work more energy for beer😂
Only hobbyists with kids sized equipment would call that lazy
@@Bigma6400 I ain’t waiting on no batteries to charge. 😂 and I ain’t paying hundreds to do the same thing a standard $30 grease gun does
@@vassilyknigge850time is money and the hand pump grease gun wasn’t cutting the beans.

This the 2.0t?
Yup it’s the 2.0t
@@Justgaragenit dang, I just bought one and now I’m seeing all this stuff 😭👎
@@loganweber-jg2wx depending on the year as well. Just make sure your checking your oil level regularly. And keeping up on oil changes. I do mine every 6000 km or 3700 miles for people viewing in the United States
@@Justgaragenit okay. I have a 2015, I’ll check and make sure its not getting low
What an ingenious idea and the bolt holes of the cabinets lined up and bolted on without issue? I've been looking for a place to finally put my tools and have been looking at US General in particular. Was wanting Craftsman but the metal seems so flimsy. When my final decision comes, I may have to do the 27/42 choice you did. *Edit. Looking at my local HF online, looks like one of the customers posted a picture doing the same thing with the 27" except he attached it to his 72" and he has the lockers on the ends
The harbour freight us general is a great option. The bolt holes line up perfect and comes with all the hardware. They are made to bolt together. Very sturdy unit as well. I would definitely recommend. The drawer locks work great too
7:35 how the old one sounds?? Is it drag or whine sound??
The old one in the be h didn’t sound bad. But while cornering you could hear a drone noise coming from the wheel bearings. Also at high speed.
How is this setup holding up?
I’m really liking it. Definitely glad I went with this setup. The drawer slides were a bit stiff empty but once it’s full it works awesome. I’ll be making an update review video soon.
@@Justgaragenit I really dig it man! thanks for the reply. Also, is there a power drawer in any of the drawers for chargers?
@@gordonmabey6978 I’m glad you like it. It’s a great affordable setup. There aren’t any power drawers in this setup. I know there are power bars you could install into the bigger lower drawers if you’d like. I charge all my stuff on top.
How does it turn loaded?
Honestly I haven’t really moved it since I loaded it up. It moved great empty and turned really well. I’ll be doing a review soon all loaded up and. I’ll definitely try it out.
I got the 56 box and 15 inch side cab on 4th of July sale combined with an inside track discount. Final cost $940 out the door for 71 inch total setup in black
That’s awesome that’s a smokin deal. The us general boxes work really well.
The Axle nut lacks a locking nut, after how many miles was the bearing replacement done.
@@cidpusa700 the wheel bearings were replaced around 170000km or roughly 110000 miles
Sorry, I read the reply on how many miles. By the way great video. Very informative and detailed 👍
Amsoil isn’t cheaper than Acdelco
It’s definitely cheaper in Canada. $21per bottle for ac delco $14 for amsoil
