Barbara Streisand ruined this beautiful song This is one of my three favorite Disney Princess songs My sister used to sing this song to me ,when I was a child
What year is this
I think 1986
The greatest, most diverse female vocalist of her generation.
Anoth we r magic sing from linda
È un bel po' datato. Fumavano ancora nei locali dove si bene, si mangia.
She's soaring here!!
Super Girl
a macical song
Too bad this performance isn't available on any of the music streaming services or for digital download. I'd definitely add it to my playlist!
Is this on CD anywhere?
I've got a couple of her vinyl albums with Nelson Riddle. I've also got "Pirates of Penzance". Magic. Powerful, powerful voice. But she could sing very sweetly, like her duet with Johhny Cash on his show in 1969. See how she concentrates on his face when they're singing together so that she can get the timing right. Completely professional. Listen to Linda and Emmylou backing Gram Parsons "In My Hour Of Darkness". ua-cam.com/video/KzuSeaMy-aU/v-deo.html. Impeccable timing. Her work with Emmylou and Dolly, even before "Trio", was lovely. This was from the Dolly Parton Show in 1976 or 77. ua-cam.com/video/wWEQDyrbphE/v-deo.html
This was the movie of my childhood, I used to cry when the song started playing at the end of the film in Barbara's version, now I'm 21 years old, I know there are many things and people to know, sadly, a few days ago I finished one 3-year relationship, and after this time without him I now realize the damage he did to me during those years, and the worst damage he could have done to me when we broke up, the psychological abuse I had to experience. Before him, my previous ex-boyfriend, he had broken up with me and he had hurt me a lot, I had never felt pain like this, now at this moment in my life and what I have had to go through lately, divorces, cheating, abuse, deaths, my vision of love has changed in an extremely unexpected way, now I no longer know what to expect, I no longer know what love has become for much of the world, I know love and I have no doubt that it exists, but and now What does love mean to others? Why not accept and respect the commitment that love entails?
I never knew Linda Ronstadt had such a great voice with incredible range..Priceless.
Hmm nice voice but no not feeling it
Elizabeth. Clean out you're ears.
Clown 🤡
what
Absolutely, BRILLIANTLY BEAUTIFUL, Linda Ronstadt and her Beautiful Voice!
Linda singing this song is so ironic for a woman so feisty and independent who never married. I think she'd be the one who rescued the prince.
Well she found a frog, but got gazumped by a pig.
Oh my goodness...this is so magical - I am utterly speechless.
❤ !
simply a great popular singer
I love Linda's voice, but she does get a little froggy-voiced sometimes. I've been nuts about her for decades.
What a stupid comment.😂 That wasn't even a nice try.
beautiful
Agh, her high notes! *melts*
Perfection.
Gorgeous...sigh.
Love this song!
Wow. Great vocals.
I was always singing, moment by moment, all day long. My mother frowned down on music. I remember having this old record used by door to door salesmen and JW Bible people. One would crank it up by a handle, and start the record. I had only 3 records, two orchestras like War Saw Concerto but I also had Mario Lanza. I would sing with Mario Lanza, then try to sing the song, "Some day my Prince will come." I would never have been able to reach those high notes without practicing Mario Lanza.
Lyrics, please! :c
Gorgeous voice.
This was from the special _"*Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'* Golden Anniversary"_, aired as part of The Magical World of Disney in December 1987
Oh, I've been looking for this for a long time. Thanks!
Just stunning.
hermoso
Gorgeous voice - great singer.
Sad that she never found her prince.Read some comments regarding finding a suitable partner and that she never ended up marrying.
I wish I had this video played at my wedding 17yr ago, I should had blue veils with lights and when song ended some kind of blue glitter fall gentle like fairy dust.
I love Barbra, but Linda owns this song
@Jarred Knox Disagree. Linda is an amazing singer, no doubt. Barbra has had a very long prime, very far past the 70s. Even her most recent album still had some amazingly beautiful singing. For me, Barbra's purity and elegance of tone and impeccable dynamics lift it a notch above Linda's version of this song.
@@joelangford7601Nope. I agree with the first comment. Linda's version is better. Barbara is great but her version grows loud and too much bellow. And the orchestra is too overwhelming. Linda's version is softer and more intimate and fits the delicate mood of the composition.
I love when they sing the verse. Absolutely gorgeous.
Is this from a TV special?
Rusty Phresh Disney's Golden Anniversary of Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs. This was a 1987 television special celebrating the 50th. anniversary of this movie.
Yes, I have this TV Special
Thanks! I love this phase in her amzing multifaceted career.
@@SnowWhiteBR love seeing u at disneyland
What a voice!!
Just beautiful....
Used to sing this in our terrace with a garden when I was just a young teen ager..: ) It makes me smile...to hear it again.
Linda's voice is so unbelievable! There have been many great female singers over the years - in different genres and in different decades. But none of them have covered as many styles as Linda over such a long period of time - 40+ years. That makes Linda the greatest singer of all time in my opinion. Besides the voice, her beauty and grace is unmatched. Happy Valentine' Day Linda! I will be your prince. Oh how I wish. Hope you are well. I will love you always.
And Happy Valentines Day to you also (on behalf of Linda )
....ma quell' Albano ???
Si tratta di un cognome composto di una sola parola. Non penso proprio che sia Al Bano Carrisi... :D
@forever4luvf4 AMEN.
That's so beautiful! I'm close to being speechless.
@planetlove71 Very nice!
best version on utube
Was this from one of her TV specials or one on which she guest-starred? What a master-class performer!
