#52 Predator Hunting and Trapping Extending My Hunting Season
Hey congratulations! I just watched your video. Hope you're doing well.
Hey Tom everything is Great ! I hope all is well with you and family also. This is my favorite time of the year, I actually missed a nice buck this year it is really hard getting everything together trying to film everything. Thanks watching and Commenting again.
We need part two, pleeeeease!!!
Bryan I’m waiting for your contribution because you have so many Squirrels that you have something to add to part two. Once again thanks for commenting
Looks like my front yard every morning but with 9 more squirrels. Yeah at least you had a good seat for that action huh? Can’t see that in a city park if you don’t get out in the woods.
Hey Bryan since you have such a good spot why don’t you record part 2 ? Though I was really out there deer hunting and they were not cooperating so I thought I would share. you know if you don’t like the content you could just swipe it by. Thanks for watching and commenting
Fresh Venison! 🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡
Yep Good Stuff! Thanks for watching and commenting
Nice clean kill. How’s the blind working out?
lol had to use it for the first sit it worked. As you could see plenty of room and lets you get away with a lot of movement. Did you get yourself one yet? I’m planning on purchasing another but this one I will put it on skids. Thanks for watching and commenting
All the rain that came through from the hurricane probably didn't help
We needed it Badly here we didn’t get anywhere near what you guys did for sure
Seems fairly easy. Ive never done it but it honestly is cheaper to sharpen then replace like i usually do lol
It is very easy with the Stihl 2 in 1 takes the guess work out of having the file in the right angle. Now i would suggest using a regular file say every other sharping just on the cutters and not take the rakes down every time. Thanks for watching and commenting.
How well do you think this could handle snow load? I live in Ohio so we don’t get tons but we can occasionally get a foot or two at a time. Wondering if you think it’ll cave in or not.
We have another Maverick blind on the property been here for a few years and has held up fine. The XL seems to have a steeper roof slope so I’m guessing it will do fine. Thanks for watching and Commenting
Hey! I found your channel yesterday and I have enjoyed seeing your videos! So cool!
Hey Tom thanks for watching and Commenting hope you subscribed. lol I think I’m getting better at them but just having fun and hoping to promote my love for the Outdoor Lifestyle
Yes I subscribed right away. I really enjoyed the ground hog hunting video.
Dang, that chair that you are sitting in looks nicer than my chair that I am now sitting in at my house! LOL!
lol thanks for Watching and Commenting just a Old Office Chair I picked up somewhere trust me the Pleather is pretty worn out on the seat part
Looks like you need to get out there more often jeez target rich environment
it has been a few years since I took some from this field and there is plenty of them. lol I do take some every year closer to the house I try to control the population there more so. Thanks for watching and commenting
Good job. I have put together a few of those Maverick XL. It’s a lot of little bolts! The only thing I do differently is I put the seal on the door itself, not the frame. I also upgrade the hinge nuts to nylon lock nuts
I have egg crate foam with two sided tape that I’m going to install today hope that will stop the echo that it seems to have inside. I plan on purchasing maybe two more that I plan on just having on a floor and skids so that I can pull around my property when I need to. Thanks for the ideas on the gasket for the door I’ll try to remember to give that a try on the next ones. Thanks for watching and commenting
I was just wondering do you eat everything you kill? I was tought at a early age that if you kill it you eat it.
I know people do eat ground hog I do not but as I said in video I do use for bait for turtles and fur trapping season. I unfortunately have not been turtle trapping this year because of just not having the time. The little bit of Ground Hog Hunting this year I have done is mainly to keep them from digging dens and eating my clover food plots that I most certainly eat every deer I shoot coming and going from these plots. Thanks for Watching and Commenting
Awesome video
Thanks it was actually fun making hopefully I can get better at it so I can get a deer hunt filmed. Lol thanks for watching and commenting.
@@PrysProperty a deer hunt would be great and your welcome
Looks like we’re gonna have a lot to give thanks for this year
Not if they keep hanging out on the roads 😂 Thank You for Watching and Commenting if you Haven’t Subscribed please Consider.
"Hen's?" We don't use an apostrophe to form a plural. Ignorant illiteracy. You messed up your own video. Congratulations!!!!
We are all waiting for the UA-cam video where you wrestle the bear and win
Thanks for Watching and Commenting now make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss the upcoming Bear Wrestling Video 😂
Shooting towards the road 😂
Thought I Responded to this Comment already Sorry. Yes shooting towards road but very much in a into the dirt angle and a one lane dirt road. Thanks For Commenting and Watching.
More trees than people 👍
Absolutely! Thanks for Commenting
Pure torture trying to watch this. Tiring. Need to speed it up a little.
Just like I said new to the film editing thing. It was a long process repairing the deck works great now.
How do you keep the deer out of it after it has herbicide sprayed on it?
I’m not sure if there is any way to keep them out completely but until the spray dries there is a smell. When it does dry the smell does go away also this time of the year there is plenty for them to eat so I haven’t really noticed them having to eat the clover until well afterwards. Thanks for watching and commenting
@@PrysProperty You have to assume they'd smell it and avoid it. Good point on the time of year. I considered it but honestly, it's never eaten to the ground until November so removing the grass would only benefit my eyes 😂
@@brushcrawler8612 the real reason for controlling grasses and broadleaf s in the clover plot is just like a farmer with corn or beans there is less competition for the preferred crop. Not that deer don’t eat clover all year because they do and it grows pretty fast this time of year also. In November the reason deer eat to the ground it actually goes dormant and just doesn’t keep up with their browsing pressure.
Nice bird! Pap
Thanks! Did you go watch the full video yet actually had the wrong bird in frame when shot? lol
Great work! You getting it mounted at all? No luck for myself this season! I always catch them hollering after they're Hend up. Had a few exciting interactions but they never came off their hens!
Thank You, Just doing the Tail, Beard and Feet Myself. Pennsylvania Turkey Season just Started on Saturday and He was with a hen and Two other Gobblers this morning saw them a few times before he made the mistake. I just started calling softly and lots of feeding purrs and soft yelps brought the hen first then the other three. Thanks for Watching and Commenting
Nice bird!
Thank You for watching and Commenting
Yup
I did that and you get dirt and rocks in your wood .
I have been doing it this way for a few years no problems but I will pay attention now that you Informed me Thanks For Watching and Commenting
Why are they garbage? I need to know.
They are invasive species that is not native to my area that was mostly planted here for the Purpose of supposedly reclaiming old strip mine sites. They have no timber value because of them so much moisture in the wood that once dried the tree falls apart. Then to top it off they have little or No benefit to Wildlife. Thank You for watching and Commenting.
If they produce oxygen then they're not garbage trees 😡
XD
When they are invasive and take over entire forests killing all the native plants the species of animals in that region eat and live in then yes they are garbage. Google Quaking ash tree invasion and you’ll learn all about the hundreds of thousands of acres this tree has ruined displacing the native animal populations. But you probably won’t because you comment without thinking others do things for a reason separate to your own.
In Wisconsin that is
I guess they do that but they are a invasive species of tree that has no or little benefits to wildlife and are taking place of native trees. Thank you for watching and commenting
Nice
Thanks
@@PrysProperty no problem buddy I know some people might think that it’s hurting them but I do the same thing you’re doing I completely understand trapping and I’ve done it with my grandpa since I was a kid keep up the good work buddy stay safe
Thanks for watching and commenting@@rodeocowboy713
I would like to see your ass in a trap
Its the one type ofhunting that most deer hunter don't get all bent out of shape about. In fact land owners will let you hunt orher game if you give them proof of choot'en them varmints, coyotes and such
Very challenging let’s you hone your shooting skills and helping the Turkey Nest this coming Spring. Thanks for Watching and Commenting
Well what's the use of doing it if it's going to cost you money it's not cost-effective
I don’t think there is anything in the Hunting World that is cost effective. Lol The reason I hunt is purely I love the hobby. The Predator hunting and trapping is only trying to save Turkey’s and their nests. Thanks for watching and commenting have a great day
Now you have a dead deer and a dead coyote.
Mr Lee you are correct and I’m sure there are many other Coyotes for me to catch but just think how many other deer and how many Turkey Nest were Saved just with that one Coyote Gone? Have a Great Day
Kick ass brother 😎
Thanks for Watching and Commenting.
wait what?
Good music!
Thanks have to use unlicensed music
Wtf.. I mean..thanks for the heads up.
Not sure what you are asking or saying? Thanks for Commenting and Watching.
I thought you were gonna make soup
Let me tell you it actually did smell like beef when it was boiling , not sure what it would taste like though? My dog was eating the meat that was washed off he didn’t seem to mind lol Thanks for watching and commenting
There are those "frontier times" events around here and raccoon skulls dont seem to be much of a thing. A raccoon penis bone though? Hot seller. What do you do with the skulls?
First off thanks for watching and commenting. I’m going to try selling the Skulls and Penis bones we will see how it goes lol
@@PrysPropertypenis bones??
