Hi there! As a beginner darter, I am searching for a 26g dart that can last me a lifetime, can you please refer me to any brand, flights, case etc. please?
All dartboards should have their own system of easily rotating the board. This Infinity board has not.
Forget his darts, I want his arm...lol
You failed to point out that the Mission Infinity dartboard has no adjustment wheels at the back. This is particularly annoying to discover this as turning the board makes the setup a pain trying to get it level. The Bade 6 does have adjustment wheels at the back. D. S.
At the time of release the blade board was the only board with the adjustment locks. It wasn't really worth noting that it didn't have them as this is and was definitely at the time pretty standard
Are there any apps to add lines?
@AD-jc9sj not to my knowledge but there will be somewhere. Possibly importing the video into Snapchat or taking a screenshot of the part you want to draw lines and editing on your phones native app
Could you do a more in-depth video on how to do all the different drips on the points as I want to learn a few different types and I can’t find any other tutorials
Unfortunately these are really the only ways I know how with my equipment. I will keep experimenting though
Glad to see the coaching is bearing fruit. I love going to Bridlington and playing the Open and Classic events. Did my best pre-covid and won my first 3 games. Work on your consistent throws and I'm sure the scores will improve. Good luck.
Its been a lil while what are we saying about the Mission force 90s?
@xPoquu they split quite easily. A nice cheap option but other systems are better investments. Will be doing an updated version of this in 2025
@@MatadorDarts Cheers love the content!
Ahhh, the good ol' poor man's lathe. Use it all the time.
How do people line up a shot? I feel my shots are just lucky.
@Shadman1603 very different for many people. Some people look down the flight and line up that way. Some people (like me) just go by feeling and muscle memory
@ I dont feel like I line up the target, I think of where I want to hit, so it feels like luck more than me lining up the shot. It's hard to explain.
Huh? Am i crazy? They are like completely different darts. Similar grip on the back but the pixel grip is completely different
@rageuproar6871 the way they perform and the level of aggressiveness of the grip are very similar. Here I'm talking about performance, not looks
Hi mate, very useful video. Which point length do you think MVG used during his prime years? Close up pics suggest it was quite long. If you do know then please say the total length not just the section that protrudes from the barrel. Cheers
@WarrsSnooker no idea mate unfortunately. I don't think it was as long as you see now but definitely longer than standard so perhaps a 36/38mm point in total length
Cheers mate, lastly, is it okay to change points more than once with the same barrels.
@WarrsSnooker Yeah that's fine. Just don't force the points as far as they would go otherwise it widens the hole and they can fall out. I've repointed my custom darts at least 10 times in the last 3/4 years
No pun intended here but what is the “point” in buying 44mm points and cutting them down when you can just buy 42mm. Sorry but going through that hassle for the sake of 2mm just seems silly! You would never notice a 2mm difference. That’s strange that you do that.
@SpoofReviews I buy 50 and cut to 44mm. When you play a lot the difference in a couple of mm is noticeable. Also when I was using 44mm points, 42mm in plain silver weren't available anywhere
@ which player uses 44mm? There must have a reason for such a specific length. Was it MVG? Btw does anyone know which length he actually does use?
@SpoofReviews a few players. Damon Heta was using them, he was probably the biggest name
i've thought about possibly getting a metal paint in a can for the points to combat the rusty look they get after a while, but that'd go straight off when you'd refresh ur grip with the tool so im not sure if its worth the money/time
@@braMM I'd stick with the rusty look personally. It doesn't look so bad and just a quick twirl in some sandpaper should remove a lot of it
We used to go outside and rub the points on the stone step of the pub to rough them up. Worked a treat. 😬🍺🍺
new to the channel, how did you manage to get into the wdf, like what was the process of being able to take part?
@theafterlifeproject23 really easy. You just find the event on dartconnect and register. Nothing really special needed
What did you change to stop going into the 5s
@@noobztvgaming I still hit a lot of 5s 😂 but the main 3 things are stance/foot positioning, alignment to the board and follow through
Darts can be infuriating at times 😂 .. i can sometimes just hit a 180 and it seems no matter what i do , i know im gonna hit a 180 after the first dart is thrown , everything just feels right, and then the next throw i’ll hit a 5 , a 1 , and maybe a 20 if im lucky … i think its all in the stance or posture or something like that , like i say it infuriates me lol
Hi mate, do I need to spin the drill aswell as the rotary tool?
@@TheElliottStar yeah it means you get a more even surface and don't get any flat edges
Nice video! I see he’s based in Normanton? I live in Leeds so might see him. How much is a face to face session with him? Thanks
@@AD-jc9sj I believe £70 according to his website sam-squire-darts-coaching.webador.co.uk/availability
@ thanks
This is a brilliant video! Thanks dude l
Great review Kurt, personally not a fan as I cant use them BUT gary can, I also can relate to the colors being a put off.. Im the same with PVD coatings..
@WarrenAckary Thanks Wazza. Yeah I like the colours but much prefer a plain tungsten barrel also prefer the lighter versions of the phase 6 which are shorter
Why the Kirk hate 😂
@@sportsbro16_21 he's a bit of a conspiracy theorist and has had a few beers with friends of mine on twitter over nothing
@ interesting haha. He has a good voice for a referee
Kurtis, you have a nice camera forward if you and your board. Im really struggling to find a good cheap decent camera to have a similar setup. Would you be willing to make a video or share your setup and software you use. My guess is OBS.
@@Mersipher I am soon moving house but I will do a setup video as soon as I'm all set and ready!
@Mersipher for a camera I would recommend the logitec c270 or an upgrade would be the c920
@MatadorDarts like cords, mounts/stands, cameras, software and such? That would be wonderful. Thank you good sir.
Nice video coverage. Thanks for sharing. Damn, double jointed elbow? I wish I had that amount of floppiness. I'm a damn 2x4 with locked wrists due to arthritis. Do you or anyone reading this suffer similar and if so know any coaches who are familiar with injuries and arthritis conditions working around them. Chees
@Mersipher thanks, I think it's just the flow of the throw. I think Sam himself has worked with people with injury (including myself) in the past so may be worth messaging him!
Fair play to you going to the UK open, its a good excuse for a weekend away and its an experience. Even better to take in some European stuff.
Yeah for me it's mainly a weekend break and a chance to catch up with some friends who I only see really once maybe twice a year. The darts is a bonus. The plan in future is definitely to play the Dutch open, that's on my darts bucket list!
Would that work on Swiss points? Id like to try this but don’t want to risk snapping them
@@maul-_-2126 it would but yeah you'd need to be careful. Don't push on them too much
@ thank you I’ll definitely try to do this on the weekend then
@@MatadorDarts I’ve tried it on Swiss points and works really I’ll try the dimple on them soon
Another idea is to dip the point in epoxy resin let excess run off and sprinkle very fine sand on it.
Not heard that one before
@ I’m an Aussie we are an unconventional lot. Cheers for the reply mate.
I thought you aussies just made them rough as fuck out of allen keys, hahahhaa.
@ Allen keys aren’t rough to start with a file roughs them up. Not using from week to week they rust just as good also. Simon is an old friend of mine he’s a unique man.
Is there any point if you don’t touch the tip during the throw?
@-_Blitz_- yeah this grip is more suited for people looking for the points to grip better in the board
@ oh right I see, thanks
Love the vid but you could have got a vid of me scoring a bit better than that😂
@MccoidDarts practice throw early in the morning, loads of excuses 🤣
@ 😂😂😂
ive been working hard with mastering my wrist flick with Daniel Poole from Straight to the Point Darts. im normally a 45 avg but i keep getting matches at 65 or more. god i hope this is my year... fucking 41s and 45s and constant bounce outs are killing me
Super Groovy Dude Great Video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good video Kurt
Thanks mate!
Due to add more grip than the old sandpaper and drill method and a lot less faffing about
What brand of rotatory tool do u have?
@taylormills3879 it's just some cheap one off amazon as I only use them for my own points. Terratek I think it's called
Thanks for showing
I've done something similar with an old set of target storm points. I place the dart in the drill, straight barrel, and started with sandpaper to get the rest of the black coating off. Then, gently used a metal file in a criss cross formation. They came out nice. I do have a dremel tool I may try on another set soon. Nice video.
@Darren4032 yeah i used to do this, it works well for a milder grip which i actually prefer
Nice vid Kurt! I’m going to do that to some of mine
👍 great that. I'm stuck at around 42 average with a best of 53 this year. Just can't seem to move up a gear
same here bro... I'm always a 46 everyday
I left the game for 25 years and just came back because of on line availability to games. My advice is a simple way to chase consistency. Reduce total arm movement and the big one. Try stopping your hand and point your fingers at the target. It creates a flatter longer motion pushing the dart to the board. Try it and you will be in the 60s in no time at all. Happy new year from 🇺🇸
I love these, they have an excellent grip. And their great value.
Was thinking a lot about my throw today and why it wasnt working. 40 average player normally but changed my stance and throw and instantly threw i think like my fifth 180 and one of if not my best legs ever. Could defo be a fluke but yh
@@rolef6084 some changes you'd definitely be able to make for the better. Remembering the changes and repeating them is the hard bit I found
@ yeah makes sense! Ive tried doing a few changes that felt natural to hopefully make that part as easy as possible.
@@MatadorDartsThat's so true about remembering the changes you easily fall back into what you were doing wrong
180!!
Really good video Kurt. It's so difficult to find consistency when we change little parts of the throw or something suddenly appears in your throw without you knowing. Coaching is something I want to do this year just to help my game. Actually stopped playing in the league as I just felt so embarrassed with how I was playing. Good luck next year and I'm sure you'll continue to increase your confidence👍🎯
@WeeIslay Thanks mate, yeah coaching is well worth it if you want to improve even if it's just one session I think people would learn so much more and take a lot more into consideration.
Nice box
Cam disappointing eh…and the two mikes Ko.
Joe cullens are also good with central scallop
Excellent darts, actually forgot about them when filming but did put them in the list of 10 on my website
Sucks I bought 40mm points and they don’t sell mission 45 mm points cause when u push them in the barrel you loose some of the length Urgh I wish I got longer 45 mm so I could have a true 40mm like Swiss points
Thanks! Just watching the darts on telly and noticed they both of them always did the same order and wondered why.
Cant see these on panini UK site
would love to try these out but not sold anymore
Soutar didn't even qualify last year... Sedláček and Griffin are both TCH. Next time do more research, it only takes a few minutes
@grabynko936 TCH don't automatically qualify for the worlds. That's why I don't know who qualifies for what. I also didn't say Griffin wasn't a tour card holder. Sedlacek I wasn't sure fair enough. Soutar had a good run 2 years ago, sorry if I get time confused. It's a prediction for a world championship to try and remember 96 players season is very difficult. It's not a preview
Cheers mate, interesting picks, would follow you on most of those
