Buck 301 Stockman is a 1972-1986 if I’m not mistaken. I’ve been looking for one of those too because it’s from the Era that I was born. What a great deal you got on it for sure. eBay is Crazy!!! Man That burlap micarta trapper is super nice!! Something about trappers man!!

You do a super great job explaining the knives and the stag handles. I always liked stag handles, but I never paid much attention to them until your video. I have 2 Uncle Henery knives with stag handles. Trust me, I will be looking for more after seeing your video. You do awesome work and great detail at explaining them in your video. Never keep your expensive knifes in leather slips for storage will mess your knife up. Ok for every day use but not storage use nylon slips for storage safer only expensive knifes.

First time for me to see the buffalo head shields. It is interesting that the box’s were definitely different in size, yet both could easily fit in the smaller box. I enjoyed seeing these knives for the first time.

I do like your dump tray. Love the stag on the gunstock. The blade is awesome. I agree that a larger version would be better.

I am a fan of the buffalo bone and the fluted bolsters. I agree with you on the open pull. The second knife is okay, but not one which I would add to my collection. Great video.

I like the thicker bone better and the lighter color. Nice comparison.
