Collected footage of Emergent Liminal Spaces for archival purposes.
Deepest Regions of the Backrooms
The Backrooms stretch far beyond any physical limits we can imagine. Our units of measurement are simply inadequate to quantify their size.
For the vast majority they consist of nothing more than endless halls and rooms. Monotonous buzzing lights, faded wallpaper and cheap industrial carpet. Arranged in a manner that imperfectly mimic human structures..
However there is far more to The Backrooms than this. Within what seems to be their limitless expanse exist unique regions. Areas that defy logic or purpose. To call them constructions would be to suggest they were once constructed.
Liminal Spatial Constructs has collected a library of footage from The Backrooms. Discovered on old VHS cassettes, inside unused folders on obsolete computers and in the middle of 8mm films dug from the back of dusty archives. Who is behind each camera is unknown at this time and of little importance.
Footage is categorised according to the media on which it was originally discovered. The codes on each title frame correspond to these media:
bvc - Betamax Video Cassette
vvc - VHS Video Cassette
dvf - Digital Video File
emf - Exotic Media File
fr - Film Reel
-r indicates the original footage was reversed in play direction
-non_variant indicates the location appears in identical form in more than one piece of footage
It should be noted that in all the archive footage held by the foundation, there is no indication of any entities or living beings in the footage. There are active phenomena that defy categorisation, however these are believed to be emergent properties of the architecture itself rather than evidence of biological processes.
Indeed there is little evidence that sheds any light on the recorders of the footage themselves..
One theory held by the Foundation is that the Backrooms don't actually exist. Since the only evidence for them is in recorded media, there is no physical evidence or eye witness to attest to their existence. This theory suggests that the videos themselves are mere artifacts, extraneous information produced as a leftover from the entropic processes of the universe.
Another theory pushes in the opposite direction, suggesting that the Backrooms are the true nature of reality, existing in a higher dimension. Our reality is an emergent result of the geometry of the Backrooms, in the same way threads can be woven around a supporting structure.
There are many theories as the Foundation has members however, and neither of these two are given much serious consideration given their entirely theoretical nature.
Four of the clips in this collection come via our exchange program with the Musée Entropique.

I find this highly interesting. You took the Backrooms, then went on a hypothetical of what it would look like in the deepest reaches. Uneven landscapes and all. Good work. I think I speak for a lot of us on UA-cam when I say, I hope we get more content from you and you perfect your craft. I have seen a few people start off on this lore, end up in a great place because they iterated on their content.
these are very similar to my dreams about backrooms ( its atmosphere )
I would love a better look at the 3d map in the beginning of the video
Nice job man, your video is now Level 0.99
I like how you did the vhs filter, It's not crazy overpowering like other video's to where you can't see anything in good detail.
Love your concepts! I hope to see more
The descriptions speaks of the Foundation - as in SCP Foundation?
this video sortof reflects my headcanon about the backrooms, that there is a center of somewhat normalcy, and the further out it spreads the more disjointed and impossible it becomes
cool its level 0.99
level 0.99
The backrooms of the backrooms of the backrooms etc…
What a fascinating interpretation of the backrooms, I’ve always love the more extreme form of liminal spaces and non euclidian geometry. I especially love the format of a data archive for footage related to backrooms exploration. Keep up the good work!! I’m very excited to see more 😁
I love the intro, very metroidvaina. showing what they've mapped out thus far.
Dude, THIS IS AMAZING! As a backrooms content creator myself, I am already very interested at the beginning. Probably my only criticism is to work on the camera movement a bit more so it looks less like video game movement.
Again, amazing job. Those "outside-view" renders were honestly kinda intimidating, showing just how massive and convoluted the Backrooms' layout is. The ending was also really neat. Those two holes _really_ felt like they were created by something massive, and the static thing at the end probably confirms it. Outstanding Job², 10/10
Dude, this is so freaky and I love it. No horror elements, no crappy shadow monsters, not even any story. Just pure, unfiltered mystery. I'm not against the idea of the Backrooms being a massive ecosystem with thousands of levels, entities, etc. However, it's nice to see some "true" Backrooms content every once in a while. Outstanding job :)
Tbh the Backrooms would have died if they never got developed beyond that single picture in 4chan
@@aw55550 Eh, you're probably right. As mush as I love the world-building people have done, it's nice to see more "classic-styled" Backrooms content.
;;;first Ich need to understand backroom;;;
Some of these scenes brought back memories of dreams i had decades ago... good job
I'm still trying to figure out how the NSA let's these Human Traffickers get away with this crap. FU criminal
Make this canon Also kevel manifold holy that is TERRIFYING
If I ever became a billionaire, would total build something like this 😂
sooo creepy i love that
The whole backrooms story is flawed; backrooms are said to be an infinite maze of mono-yellow liminal corridors from which none can escape yet there's plenty of "found footage" that builds up the lore. You can't have recorded evidence of the backrooms since it is not possible to get inside without escaping. It's like a religion; the only way of knowing if God is real is by dying yet if you die you cannot come back to confirm. I suppose you have to believe in the backrooms. ALL HAIL THE BACKROOMS OUR ETERNAL MISERABLE PURGATORY OUT OF WHICH OUR POOR SOUL AND FLESH SHALL NOT ESCAPE.
7:07 iYouÄre not even there (how could you, it's not physical, lmao), but seeing this scenery is enough for you to get a perfect idea not only on how that space with its weird walls and everything feels, but also how it smells. Perfect transportation of impressions in this rendering, and it's just the right dose of what you expect when you think "backrooms" and a tad of insanity to make it compelling. Very well done, imo.
It's like inorganic, man-made constructs have taken on a progressively organic structure. To look on it is bizarre, fascinating and eerie because it feels unnatural at in instinctive level.
its the Manifold for me, literal "oh shit, I'm gonna die and there's nothing I can do about it" moment 😱real talk though, I'm super interested in this depiction! The Backrooms doesn't always have to be about multiple liminal spaces that house hostile entities, or just the Wanderer wandering around aimlessly in the rooms themselves. The Backrooms' secondary (if secondary, please educate me if not) name is called "the Complex" for a reason. yeah its made up of many different liminally structured rooms or even zones, but that's exactly what a complex is. In your interpretation, it gets presented as such excellently. a complex that actually is.... *complex* beyond human comprehension, except its just so real and so familiar in unexplainable ways that we both can and cannot fathom being in such a place that does and doesn't replicate our world, but is also as, if not more dangerous than ours, because if its not the entities that are against you, its most definitely this world and its rooms, and it brings the impression that we're just not meant to be there...yet here we are, experiencing it. Seriously though, just in love with this concept dude, stellar craftsmanship, please keep up the good work! <3
7:47 Hi Barbara... didn't saw you behind your raging madness. if you think people remember you as an important figure of the story you should know that at max, if anyone remember you at all, they all remember you as an Important Threat... By the way the Barbara in America is Saint.. With all the rapes Boncompagni-Pellizari-Pazzi have made, you might as well have forgotten about the undeniable underlying differences between Good and Evil. But No one forgotten Evil for what it truly is...
The image quality is spot on. It really does look like footage from 80s/90s analog video equipment. The animation needs work though, but I imagine that's the most difficult part to get right. Might I suggest recording actual test footage where you go through the same motions as the characters, and then try to replicate those camera movements as closely as possible? I think particularly the "climbing a tall step" animation looked very off. That might be a good place to start.
Question : has the cam fallen into the void?
More videos about deepest level 0, please. <.<

Excellent stuff here! I've seen many backrooms channels and architecture-wise, your channel is in the top 3--5 out of 60-70+ channels! Your archival and tilting efforts are also much appreciated. I don't know if it's all you or if you get help from AI with your designs, but please make more of these videos!
Not gonna lie. These rooms look like a nice place to just chill and watch Netflix. No people to bother you (except the screaming monsters).
One of the best BACKROOMS videos……are all these games of mainly films ❤
How about a tropical island like back How about a tropical island like backrooms?
Was the entity at 8:59 censored from the footage, or was its image interpreted by the camera as white noise?
Nothing has been censored, it seems that this phenomenon has an adverse effect on the recording process.
What a weird concept: fear generated by mere interior architecture. Take away the eerie soundtrack, tediously monochromatic wallpaper, occasional flash-lighted passage, and walls closing in, these are basically just fun and imaginative interiors.
I actually felt creeped out that I would one day fall asleep and wake up in the backrooms....I feel like that place can take you to another dimension
Imagine the smell of old musty carpet while you watch this 😅 it certainly adds some depth.
What I like about this video is the feeling of exploring a massive spawling cave system, with various areas being given memorable names to make them easier to recognize. And like many others have already noted, there are no entities and it's the architecture itself that comes off as hostile to humans.
now this is how i imagine the backrooms! i had a dream a year ago where i was in the backrooms, there was dark fog, but it wasn't the backrooms anyone imagines, flat terrain? no, there were stairs up and down, hills and all of that like in this video!
fantastic, thanks for sharing!
yaaaaassss this is so good. i love it and your description write-up is amazing. thanks for sharing!
The vacuum into the void was a good detail.
Can you imagine how much static electricity you would build up going down a carpeted slide like the chute?
0:35 it’s like reaching the farlands in Minecraft
It’s an excellent idea that it gets gradually less and less recognizable, consistent and logical as you move further into it. It makes the exploration more interesting and challenging imo. Cool video!
