Good advice. Just a camera technical tip - when you faced your camera at an angle, it is much easier to watch you talk, than straight on. You have a better angle presence. Hair is fine, it can be tied back or naturally resting. The light on your face, when you are looking directly to the camera, really shows too much shine - your information is valuable for writers and you have a lot of important tips. Just develop your screen presence, to make it more comfortable and easy going for viewers.
Did you use UA-cam marketing? This video received way more views than all the others. I like your style and energy.

Love how organized your presentation is! ^_^ On the 2nd draft of my very first novel. Started in 2014 NaNoWriMo, shelved it, 2nd draft started in 2019 but shelved, starting up again with consistent daily writing and a plan using a lot of what you explain here. The entire 1st draft was basically just creating the characters and all the plot is virtually scrapped, and I'm keeping the characters' essence but adapting for the new version of the story.

If you find it difficult to read aloud or find yourself struggling to find time to do so, text to speech can be a neat little tool (and free!). It can be a bit jarring if you're not used to the robotic voice, but it can still be really helpful in hearing your words. I don't think it's as impactful as reading it aloud yourself, but it's a better alternative than not hearing it at all.

I strongly suggest my college students to read their papers out loud as well (assuming they finish them in time 😄). They shouldn't do it right after completing, however. As you said, they will only read what they think they wrote, not what they actually wrote. Also, the passage of even a little time allow as them to read as a reader, not the author. You hit the exact reasons. Very good. Thank you.

The Write Method is the book that this channel started from. The backbone of it is to write 500 words every day for 100 days to get about a 50,000 word manuscript.

Hey! I want to cheer you on. Love your tips. I have a hard time motivating myself to work. But I'm leaning towards following your advice on putting work on a specified time, no matter what. I love Terry Pratchett books. Would love to write like him, but I'm years behind. Just getting started. Also searching for a way to earn money through writing.

What a cool channel concept. I am working on a manuscript, mostly in the evenings when I have down time at the fire station where I work. Also, at home when the kids aren’t screaming and I don’t have 17 other things to do. It’s hard to find the time. Love this soundtrack though. I hope it helps me focus! ✌🏼
