Duran at that time lacked sportsmanship, he seemed to always have excuses when he lost fights. Always praising fighters that he beat but he would never show good human sportsmanship when he lost . Though he was a great lightweight and an awesome fighter I have lost all respect for him due to his potty mouth.

His first break was against Willie "the Worm" Monroe on 2 weeks notice who was trained by Frazier. He wasn't on the namby pamby Olympic team. He was a fighter and was robbed in his last fight and never got a rematch. Marvelous Hagler. One Judge gave the fight 115 - 113 for Hagler another 115-113 to Leonard and Judge JoJo Guerra scored it 118-110 for Leonard. YoYo Guerra is still alive seemingly. Where would be nice to know.
