I love Stalker 2 cause it's so damn old-school. It focuses on all the right stuff and doesn't mind with all the superfluous stuff like story or NPC dialogue. I'm especially glad that GSC didnt try to make it more like Fallout. I feel like I'm playing the natural evolution of the originals. I wish they put back hunting/mutant loot, NPC stalkers looting dead bodies, zone chat, and other small stuff but as-is, this is clearly the peak of 20s survival-horror.

For me. It’s game of the year. Finally. A game that demands me to focus, think it through. Shotgun? Or whip out the dnipro ambushing 4-6 enemies. Playing in veteran you don’t always have the time to switch unless your rocking the exoskeleton armor. Love it, on my second play through now.

Gotta be a no for me, too many bugs and issues for me. I love the game don't get me wrong but the amount of time I've had to spend googleing how to fix things ita ridiculous the latest issue I had with latest update broke my shader compiler to the point it would freeze half way everytime, took me over an hour of googling to figure out I had to delete a specific folder that had nothing to do with the game itself. Game itself is great but it needed another 6 months to cook l, I feel like a beta tester at this point.

I play it in Xbox and Is dogshit in graphics and performance subjects, but is a pretty refreshing experience, great mechanics, inmersive, a lot of ítems, places to be explored, a lot of interesting stuff and details, ukrainian voice acting, etc. Great game! I hope other developers learn from this and start bringing more quality in their games

Probably most important game this year for me personally. Been a fan of the series since 2007-2008, waited for SoC release since I saw old Oblivion Lost trailers back in like 2004. Back then devs looked like rock stars or movie stars, and felt untouchable for young me. Now Stalker 2 came out and some of people who been fans of the series with me and who've been my friends for way longer than Stalker 2 was in development, actually worked on this game, makes it even more special for me. I am grateful for this game, I am happy it came out and I'm impressed by amount of care devs put into patching it.

it just looks awful @ 5:10 with no shadows on the vegetation, we now have all these RT effects and engines that specialize in it and that's how you make the game look in 2024, some r_fullbright 1 stuff

To me it's never been about lore, or an AI, or anything like that. It's about the fuzzy thoughts of possibilities and dreams filling in the gaps in my real memories, making those hoaxes and rumours and B3313 itself feel so familiar yet so alien.. like I might have been there before in a dream, or in my false memories.
